steelerrb26 - You meant so much to the Steelers Organization, the Steeler fans, the NFL, and most importantly to ME! I never got a chance to say good bye, but youu were a GREAT man...You're in a better place now FOR SURE! RIP Mr Rooney
whoisbelieve - I remember the first time we EVER spoke....It was right after the draft... leading up to Rookie Mini Camp somewhere similar to this time now, two years ago!... I would go out on the field to put in extra work on the weekends when nobody else was out there. You would walk outside your office and watch me for about 10 minutes. I didn't notice you until that next Sunday. That following Monday morning, I walked in the locker room and one of the guys scream at me like " Eli... Mr.Rooney wants to see you"... Now I didn't know WHAT TO THINK! I was spooked to be honest. I was a Walk On(Free Agent out here in this cold world... But I slowly made my way to your office thinking of ALL possible outcomes trying to picture what you would say to me. Once I got there, I peeked my head in your office to see if you was in there. And surely you were! Sitting right in your chair. I walked up to you and you shook my hand and told me " I love the Drive and work ethic you have...." " Keep up the hard work. You won't be going anywhere!"... I took that to heart. I Am forever gracious of your blessings of having me here and taking me in! For giving me an Opportunity... But more over, the Beautiful Man and Being you were. A True Legend. Praying for your family.. Rest In Paradise Mr.Rooney

stuitt - He came to work everyday with a suit and tie. He said good morning to everyone walking past and always asked me, how you think Notre Dame is going to do this year. That's a leader and most definitely a great man in every category. The heavens got a good one today. #doittuitt
