Breno was a prick also people, They are cut from the same cloth. Thing is with Breno the Coaches got him to kind of control it a little. He still was always in the middle of everything when the whistle blew, always right on the edge of getting flagged. Still i do not feel Richie is an upgrade over anyone else on the team.

I remember people here not liking Giacomini very much when he was pulling that crap on a regular basis and obviously the Seahawks, despite being able to get him to control himself better as last season went along, weren't eager to bring him back either. That's why it didn't make any sense that they'd have any interest in Incognito who, despite being the superior player, was a bigger instigator and dirtier player than Giacomini as well. He'd have been a bigger headache for them to deal with because he's been involved in enough incidents in his career and failed to learn anything from them that it would have been foolish of them to think that they could get him under control.

I say pass, not even taking his locker room presence into account. The guy is a personal foul just waiting to happen. Think Giacomini but worse. You could always count on at least one per game back when he was with the Rams.

This. And at crucial drive-killing times. He is the Tony Romo of offensive linemen.

Might make better sense for him to sign with a successful team like Seattle, where he could just try to fit in rather than assert his bizarre notion of "leadership".

Not so sure the Seahawks locker room would let him get away with that crap! But I say, stay away from him!

I dont get how he still doesn't have a job. He is a pro bowl caliber guard. Still in the prime of his career, yet he's blacklisted by the nfl............

What did he do to earn the black list?
-Knock his fiance unconscious then drag her limp body around like a caveman? nope
-Cover up a Murder? nope
-Shoot himself in the leg? nope
-Go to jail for a YEAR for a dog killing ring? nope
-Get arrested for Drugs? nope
-Kill someone when driving under the influence? nope
-Have gang ties, and literally kill someone? nope
-Get arrested for anything? nope

Yet Incognito, who when it all boils down, was mean to a 300 pound grown ass man..........cannot find a job.

You forgot:
-Have illegal weapons in his possession
-drunk driving and running into a tree
-bomb threat at an airport

There is more than just him being mean to a 300 lb. man though. You have to look at his whole history to realize what he did in that locker room is just one of many issues.

Timeline of issues...
Freshman year at Nebraska--Bullied a teammate to the point they quit the team
Started 13-14 games and the one he missed was because of a fight on the field that he started.
The next year he was kicked off the team...reasons are not known at this time. Considering he was a starter as a freshman it had to be something big.

Next year--charged with 3 counts of assault--this was in the spring
The next fall he was actually kicked completely out of school by Nebraska.

2 weeks after leaving Nebraska he enrolled at Oregon to only a week into being at Oregon get kicked off their team. Just one week to get kicked from a major program.

He then declared for the NFL draft.

In his first 44 games in the NFL he committed 38 penalties with 7 of those being unnecessary roughness penalties...Some OL starters can play 15 years and not commit that many penalties.

In 2009 he was voted dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers.

His coach at St. Louis finally had enough of him that they finally cut him.

Other incidents include punching a security guard at a hotel (charges were dropped eventually but doesn't mean it didn't happen).

Would you rather have a 3rd down and 5 or a 3rd down and 25?

I don't care how big the person being bullied is... bullying is bullying and it shouldn't be tolerated. Add in his history, as cdumler laid out for us, and there's good reason why this guy still doesn't have a job. That doesn't mean that other things as bad or worse should continue to be tolerated. Sports leagues and teams have a horrible track record when it comes to dealing with players who cause pain and suffering to others outside their sport or break the law vs. dealing with players who simply hurt their team's chances to win or cause disruption in the locker room or cheat the game.

Incognito deserved to be blacklisted, if that is what's actually happening here, but way too much rope is given to guys with no regard for the law or the people around them outside the lines/locker room. The stuff that happens between the lines or in the locker rooms seem to matter a lot more than the stuff that happens outside of those confines and it shouldn't be that way. They need to fix that and the fans need to make sure that they fix it by not welcoming these guys back with open arms or making excuses for them when they do something horrible just because they happen to play for the home team. Priorities need to be rearranged. We can't expect these players to be perfect, but we can't keep giving them chance after chance when we know they're going to keep doing whatever they're allowed to get away with.
