Richard Sherman: Big baby or misunderstood?

I'm fairly certain he was good during their SB run in 2014.

I'm not saying he isn't good, but playing with the best pair of safeties in the league made him look better than he was. He knew he could take risks and it'd usually be ok if he missed.

One of those safeties career went into the shitter upon leaving Seattle and every used the fact that he played with "great corners" as one of the reasons he was good there.

So... I don't know. Something has to give. I think Sherman is fucking good. Every corner needs a pass rush and decent safety help.

It's kind of like how everyone makes excuses for QB's when they have no line or WR's. But then when they get those things and succeed. People will say "Of course he's good! Look at his line and WR's!"... It's like... come on.

I will say he isn't close to the player he once was. 74 PFF grade so far in 2019. Probably about a top 20 CB, so still pretty good.
