Where Does RGIII Rank Among the Top QB's in the Game?

right not that is probably about right

i think he can leap frog some people this year

word out of OTA's are that Rg3's mechanics are improved so that is good news

In Shanahans first season with RG3 he had an elusive and explosive QB that defenses couldn't answer for. The zone read featuring the pistol formation was something NFL defenses hadn't seen and RG3 being the perfect QB for that excelled. His 2nd season in which he shouldn't have played until the second half of season featured a hobbled, slow and scared QB who was determined to be a drop back Brady like QB in which he isn't. The fact that defenses knew he was no threat to run didn't fare well him where he was sacked a staggering amount of times.

Last year for me was a tell-tell sign of what we really have in Griffins post two blown out knee operations and rehab stints. Not a very effective QB. Whether that was Gruden holding him back or Griffin holding Gruden back will never be known, but this year both will be counting on each other to keep their jobs respectively. Can't get here soon enough.
