Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the Rangers have a better record than the Tigers, they'll have home-field in the first round and play the wild card, likely Boston, since the Angels and Rays are also losing, correct?

Otherwise, if they have a worse record, then they play the Yankees at NY??

Not that the Rangers can't beat the Yankees at home (again), but playing a struggling Boston team at home sounds much more appealing and gives nice symmetry to the season.

So does Wash rest the starters or not?

I would consider easing off cj in his final start. He's been doing a lot lately. Same with colby. Like it or not he will be in the postseason rotation. Probably give Elvis a day and insert blanco. DH some guys like beltre and Ian to keep their bats sharp. Cruz needs to keep batting to get his timing back.

We just need to alternate who we rest. There's no reason to sit everybody at once when we can still beat the M's with some backups.

5-4 now bottom of 6th 2 outs with runners on 1st and 2nd. come on O's hang on! We need to win out if we're going to finish with a better record than Detroit. They have an easy schedule the next 4 games.

Detroit loses with Davis putting the winning run on the basepaths with a hit. Texas with 2nd best record in the AL.

Awesome. Now we need to do what we can to keep the lead. Hopefully the O's can put something together against Penny tomorrow.

Who would have thought that the line up that Wash put up against King Felix yesterday would have knocked him out in the 4th inning or that Baltimore would beat Justin Verlander?? No me, by a long shot. Ain't it fun? :happyshake:

Well, glad to see that even our subs can take down Seattle's best AND that the Tigers lose again. I love it.

Probably because the subs are playing even harder for playoff playing time.
