We could easily go 1-7 rest of the way. If this team is playoff bound, we will know it soon.
Also, Jaire Alexander is out next week vs. the Packers...That's a game-changing type of injury. I mean, I expect us to lose because Rodgers...but we have one of the best pass rushes in the game to fluster hime and maybe...MAYBE we can get something going in the passing game with this generation's Deion out.
Man...I'd consider putting Mack inside and Gipson on the edge. At least as a specialty package once in a while.
Well, that's because you're an idiot.
Well...duh. The only person here that isn't an idiot is you. We all already know that.
Lets move Mack to tackle!
Total mad genius move (rolls eyes)
Pure agony post-Browns game and Genius is all quiet...3 seconds of happiness because we won our last 2 and here he is to piss in Cheerios.
I'm telling you guys...Cheesehead.
Moving Mack inside would make him an ILB. Because he's currently and OLB. The I stands for inside. The O for outside. The LB is for linebacker, if you're wondering.
And his coverage skills allow you the opportunity to make the offense wonder if he's blitzing or dropping.
NY Giants used to do it with Lawrence Taylor a lot when they had 2 good pass rushers out there with him.
Did i say something different? I was just simply saying move Mack inside because it's so brilliant.
lol Brilliant. Lets make Mack cover instead of rushing the passer.
Sure! It worked for LT so it must work for Mack!
Brilliant! Derrrrrrrrrr
I mean...Despite the rampant trolling of genius, the direction of the discussion does kind of lead me to wonder how much of our newfound pass rush this season is the players stepping up vs Pagano/Desai switch?
If I had to make an estimate-it's obviously a combination of both-I'd lean more toward Desai's approach making a larger part of the difference.
Yeah but you thought moving inside meant tackle. So….you know….der. And stuff.
You realize he already does play coverage, right? Sometimes as much as 30% of his snaps.
Quinn being healthy and playing well is a huge impact. The rest I put on Desai.
We’ve seen him move players around and disguise his blitzes and coverages.
I’ve seen him use his NB to basically pick an OT tackle and allow Mack a one on one versus a RB.
He’s wheeling his coverages. Showing one look pre snap and rotating to something different as the play develops.
Players have to execute but Pagano was far too vanilla. Desai is mixing it up and making in game adjustments. All good stuff.
I simply said to move him inside to tackle because it would so freaking brilliant. Don't put words in my mouth grey pubes.
Would LOVE to see proof he plays coverage 30% of the time. I'm all ears.
All pure rubbish. My lord your inability to evaluate this team is shocking.
