I loved the original Macgyver.

I watched the first few episodes of the reboot, but when Mac was throwing homemade bombs out of a car that would kill his pursuers in the 3rd or 4th episode, that was so out of character for the character I knew that I gave up on the show.

But he did actually kill them?

I just caught one of the newer episodes of Agents of Shield, but didn't see the opening credits, so I didn't know what I was watching until the very end. I hadn't seen a show in quite a while, so I was totally blown away to find out they had turned it into a Space Opera.

Even though I was unfamiliar with the characters or the setting, I found it much more entertaining then the original version of the show.

The guy who they thought was dead turned out to be alive.

He was recalled to a special task force to find him.

So he sent the hot Asian chick to replace him.

So, they didn't kill him off, but he still hasn't been on any of the shows going forward? Sounds like a contract dispute. I hope they bring him back; but I also hope they keep the hot Asian chick.

I hope they bring Jack back early next season. His name was removed from the open credits of the show right after he left. So who knows if he will be back. Without Jack, this show has zero humor. Bozer is a tool. Tristan Mays is hot.

Mac has no guns. Other team members will use guns.

Mac goes out of his way to not kill people, even when it’s clearly in his own best interest.

The assassin from season 1 is the best character anyway. Based on what I know about you, you’ll dig him.

Not only is it true to the original show in those respects, but the new series has much better actors!

5/30: NBC has finally made a decision on first-year shows Abby's, The Enemy Within, and The Village, cancelling all three.

5/30: Marvel's Spider-Man (Disney XD) renewed for a 3rd season.
