I can already sense a letdown from our team in this Bowl game too.........we will come out expecting to kill them again. It probably isn't going to happen the same way as it did last time.

Yea this is such a fail of a bowl matchup it's not even funny.........the only thing that may entice fans is that it's in San Diego, and it's a great vacation spot during the holidays.

If that game was being played within the next week, I wouldn't even watch it, but I'm sure I'll cool down by game time and hope we can eek out a win.

San Diego is awesome that time of the year JJM. I'm already thinking about taking the family to this game. I just have a sneaking suspicion that external forces are at play with the selection committee; it makes zero sense as to what just happened.

Go to San Diego; cheer loud. cheer proud. Kick the Huskies ass (again); and gear up for a real conference.

This is still a game we really need to win. I can't go the winter with another loss to reflect on, as well as the ramifications in recruiting, just ask Jed

Ive read some threads from UW and they aren't exactly thrilled about this game either, only unlike our reasons theirs are due to the fact they got an ass whooping the last time we met.

Any UW fan not thrilled about this matchup is a fool IMO. 3 weeks ago, when the Huskies were sitting on a 3 game losing streak and with a 3-6 record no one even gave them the slimmest chance to go to a bowl game. Sure they're playing a team that made them look like a frosh football team earlier this year, but to be honest I'm just glad they made it to a bowl. Washington hasn't been to a bowl since 2002, so this really does mean something to the program.

From Nebraska's standpoint, I can definitely understand why this isn't an ideal matchup. The lack of bowl eligible teams in the Pac-10 put UW in a better bowl than they should have been in, with USC being ineligible and ASU having to schedule two FCS teams because San Jose State backed out of their game against ASU. Not much you can do about that.

Good luck in the Holiday Bowl although you guys probably won't need it. I will venture a guess though that this game will be better than the one in Seattle was. Still Nebraska should win and I expect them to. I hope Locker is fired up for his last game in the purple and gold.

I'm disappointed that we ended up in the bowl game that we did and with a rematch against Washington........but I will say, I really respect Washington a lot. All year long I rooted for the Huskies to pull through in the Pac 10.........I was very happy for them to get bowl eligible, and I didn't even think at the time that it would have any bearing whatsoever on our bowl matchup.

It is what it is..........we played bad down the stretch, and now Nebraska and Washington will play 3 times within a 1 year period. As far as I see it, at least we are playing a program I have respect for. That makes it two games in a row to end the season against respectful programs.
