For the record i have no dog in this fight and I think that was a penalty call based in emotion at seeing a downed player that had very little basis in fact or precedent.

No dog either, but I think Keith Jones just explained it well. I could see it both ways. It probably was a reaction. But he also hit a player in a vulnerable position and it was dangerous.

Either way, that was one of the best periods of playoff hockey I’ve ever watched.
