I think Scot was fine with Cully until he found out that Cully was shooting a documentary entitled "All In For Week 11."

I was under the impression that he was still hurt and could not be cut yet. But this was kind of in the works, we discussed it after the Norman signing. There is no way around it, losing Culliver and adding Norman and Fuller is an upgrade. Don't worry, be happy.

27 year old healthy CB's usually don't work cheap. Plus Culliver is proven. I cant see how he comes back here. Someone will pay him.
Probably. But he wasn't even really lighting it up before his injury and once injured, his value is greatly diminished . So you never know.

I wouldn't be at all

I wonder when his return date is. If it's past Week One, teams may be incentivized to sign him after then to get a better picture of his recovery and to make his salary non-guaranteed. But it only takes one team to scoop him up.

Is it fair to say with this release that Scot's first FA class with this team was a complete bust?

IM going to call it now.... within the next month we will be hearing how it was hard to release Garcon and how Scot has so much respect for him.

It sure seems that way. Maybe that's why he doesn't like free agents:doh:

Yes. Factor in Paea, and RJF. But he made up for it with in season signings which worked out great for us.

It is what it is. It was a total flop. Still trust him more than anyone we have had since Bethard though.

I wouldn't call someone a bust when it is major injury related.

Don't get me wrong, Culliver can ball and I am disappointed, but a year later he's gone. He was the one guy from last year's class I was hanging my hat on. Knighton, gone. Paea gave us nothing before he got hurt. RJF has been a nice little locker room guy, but he's no Charles Mann.

In all fairness Galette going down skews things a bit, but he kinda fell into our laps the way Jax did.

He did kill it when it came to picking up guys off the street though. Blackmon was solI'd especially early, Dunbar was a find, and Nsekhe man handled Hardy.

Agreed, news of Culliver signing somewhere when healthy is a definite, lots of things happen between now and camp ending could still come back, but I think that we are in accord, if the need comes for us to sign a corner, he'll likely be wearing different colors by then.

Well. Would that free up money to go get your NT/DT? I like Garcon ... always have. But he is overpaid for what he has done on the field.

well that escalated quickly. they must feel really confident fuller is ready to go day 1 in TC because they essentially handed him the nickel job without playing a down.

Thanks, maybe we extend Reed or KC right now with the savings. The Fuller pick pushed it over the top. Now its Norman, Breeland, Fuller, Fla kid, and Toler.

I'm totally for this. Both are very important. I really like this group of young CBs, minus Culliver. I know what Norman, Breeland, and Toler can do. However, it's gonna be interesting to see what Fuller and Dunbar do, especially with Dunbar being in his 2nd season and all.

The more I think about it, the more I think Toler is the reason CC was cut. I don't think they would have counted on a rookie coming off injury to fill one of the top three slots without a fourth option.
