Do you remember our teams under Zorn and Spurrier? Some players were there just to pick up paychecks. Fortunately, McCloughan has made sure we don't have those types of players anymore and has acquired those that know how to put things in perspective. The problem is that we still have a lot of young players who've got no playoff experience and the Pack's whole team has gone through this grind for years.

Yep & proves my pt since none of those teams went to the playoffs. I am almost positive that the current players are not simply happy to be there & a lot of them probably believe that they can win the SB (doesn't matter if that is foolish - most players think like this).

I predicted the 9-7 record in August. I should be getting props from that guys. lol. I knew KC could run Grudens system better than RG3 and would have success that is why I predicted a 9-7 season. KC is a professional pocket QB where RG3 is not. For our team KC is better that is why he is playing and doing well. Plus if you add all the injuries my prediction becomes even better. I was the only one on here that thought Moses was a solid RT and he has become our best olineman this year besides Trent. Moses is the star of the draft two years ago and you guys said that I was nuts. Yes he fell into the 3rd round but a lot of teams are kicking themselves now for passing on him.

I knew we had the offensive weapons to be successful. All we needed was a real pocket passing QB to run Grudens system. We got it from KC and he should be our QB for the next 5 or 6 years maybe even longer.

 I bow to you! I meant to earlier give props to you - great prediction & way to stick with the team even when things were a bit iffy earlier in the year.

I appreciate that socal. If KC,Reed, Jax, and Garcon stay together we will be a dominant offense in years to come. They should at least all be back next year.

Plus where are all the people who argued that we should have kept Kai b/c he was an accurate kicker? Hopkins has been a god sent. Besides Blackmon he has to be the biggest FA we picked up this year. Although Foster has been huge too.

I was one of those people. And I was wrong. I had never heard of Hopkins so I knew nothing about him. I thought it was very risky, but it clearly panned out.

you know what you deserve props on the prediction and on KC and on moses

where you get beat up on is some of the absolutism, but hey , you were right and you deserve some praise for being right

this team isnt a finished product . teams will look at our film and take away what we do . we still need depth and some game changers but the team seems to have turned the corner

now we need to sustain it

You could say we're the "hottest" given our winning streak and how we've dominated our opponents during that time. If you take a look at the Chiefs streak, they've beaten some pretty weak teams and a lot of their games were awfully close.

Steelers, 23-13 (sans Big Ben)
Lions, 45-10
Broncos, 29-13 (sans Peyton)
Chargers, 33-3
Bils, 30-22
Raiders, 34-20
Chargers, 10-3
Ravens, 34-14
Browns, 17-13
Raiders, 23-17

I see two playoff teams there...how many have we beat all season?

Yep have to give our eternal optimist dean credit, he has been on 9 wins all year. I had high hopes for Cousins but wasn't sure he could reach the level he reached in the 2nd half. He was bad ass. I wasn't down on Moses, you can't write a guy off after his rookie year.

Remember - this was supposed to be the rebuilding year, and nobody including the GM expected much this season. This should make next season something special if they can avoid numerous injuries.

They have a full suite of draft picks, players returning from injuries, young players who gained valuable experience and a FO who knows how to build a team. No guarantees but certainly something that makes them look better than at any time in the last 15 years.

I appreciate being recognized by you guys. I never thought we were a bad team but a average to good team. Everyone should be back next year and a 10 win season is not out of the question.

socal We don't have a 5th round draft pick this year for Carrier and I think we gave tampa a draft pick for Goldsten. I think we only have 5 picks in this years draft. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

I stand corrected. That is OK. They still have quite a few picks, and some of the younger players that were thrown into action this season can almost be looked at as extra picks.

Hey I've been happy for a month. After 20 seasons of essentially playing out the string by Halloween I was just happy to be playing meaningful games into December. Now that we are actually home favorites in the playoffs I'm absolutely in the same camp as Dad, I think we all are. No complaints what so ever even if we lose 72-0.

Mad props on 9-7. I don't usually give a real prediction because there are far too many variables, in particular health.

You definitely were not the only one that thought KC could run this system better than RG3. I was there with you and was defending KC and his interceptions throughout. A big difference is the situations we have been in the second half of the season. We haven't trailed people by as much so we haven't had to go gunslinger...except TB and thankfully it was TB. Another thing people need to understand is the OC and KC needed to get a feel for each other.

You weren't the only one who thought Moses was a steal in round 3. Almost everybody thought he was. Far too many give up on draft picks after one or two seasons and fail to have patience.

Almost Everybody? Everyone was busting my balls about the Moses pick. I wanted him in Round 2. A lot of people on this board weren't high on him at all. You damn right he was a steal.

I think we can all agree Carrier was a mistake for a fifth round pick. I think we can all agree Goldsen was a good trade for a sixth or seventh.

Hopkins has been huge. I argued we should have kept Gano. I argued we should have kept Kai. I will argue we should keep Hopkins. You need to stick with a kicker and let them grow just like every other position.

We were busting your balls because he lasted until round 3. Nobody would have complained if we took him in round 2 because that is where he would have belonged. He was a bargain in round 3 evidenced by the fact he is a third round starter in year 2 that is playing well on a playoff team. I bust people's balls when they think they are smarter than 32 professional organizations comprised of hundreds of scouts. That doesn't mean I think the player chosen or not chosen will be a failure.

There are bigger steals than Moses on this team. Alfred Morris was a sixth round draft choice that has been a very consistent starter until this season. Jamison Crowder was a fourth rounder that has outperformed all other rookie WRs in this years draft except Amari Cooper. Jordan Reed was a third rounder. I think more highly of him than Moses in the RT circle. How about Chris Baker, Will Compton, Brashaud Breeland, and Quinton Dunbar?

I meant a steal in that draft. Carrier was not a mistake a that time we had nobody. Plus he showed promise but he might be out next year as well b/c of the torn acl. Goldsten contract could be interesting in the offseason he is making big money. We might want to rework that deal. There was no point in keeping KAi he proved that he cant kick off and was unreliable at long FG's.
