Absolutely gave that game to Baltimore. Just gave it to them.

Patriots defense helped. How many INTs did they drop. If Arrington could stand, he ends the game with an INT, but fell down. McCourty committed a dumb PI. And they didnt cover anybody that final drive.

The drive before that Baltimore had 3rd and long and they called a crap penalty on McCourty that even Chris criticized. Then on the TD pass Smith had a blatant push off that they didn't call. Edelman got clotheslined in the face by Rees that wasn't called. Should have made it first and goal except NE had to settle for a FG. Every big call was in Baltimores favor.

The officiating clearly sucks.....the bad calls in the game didn't bother me nearly as much as the inability to keep the game under control......coaches like both Harbaughs and Belichek obviously show them no respect, and are encouraging their defensive players to go ahead and take cheap shots....Belichek put his hands on an official at the end of the game and should be hit with a huge fine......

There were ridiculous calls that went both ways. Webb had a questionable call on the PI that negated an INT. But yeah, the drive that Balt took the lead was definitely fueld by some very poor officiating.

I am sick of the fucking replacement refs, seriously. They are calling an equally bad game on both sides of the field, but I am still sick of it.

If the ref union would get smart, they would become part of the players union, and then if there was a labor dispute, the league wouldn't have such an upper hand, because no refs means no players either.

The players and caoching are bitching enough about it, I doubt there would be much rejection to the idea outside the head of the ref labor union losing his job.

In any negotiation it's about who has the leverage. Goodell has got it...and he knows it. The NFL is more popular than ever. They're still making money hand over fist. I think it will take the owners stepping in after they lose a marquee player or a game is just so clearly botched. We'll see...but the product on the field has definitely suffered. The lulls bother me more than the bad calls.

The pace of the game is just horrible. Thank god for the redzone channel.

seems the officiating always sucked, but at least the old guys knew the rules.

Another absolutely crap game in prime time by these things on the field that the NFL calls refs. They are directly impacting the outcome of the game.

Well now it's undeniable. The refs have legitimately cost a team a game. And in the worst way possible as well. It's not a case like the Ravens/Pats game where they blew a bunch of calls on the final drive where you could respond with the fact that they blew calls the entire game. In this case, they blew the final call on the final PLAY even with the ability to review it. How does the league respond to this? Do they respond at all? How do you say, 'yeah, GB should have won and Seattle should have lost'?

Is Goddell the stubborn one here? Can the owners just vote him out. These refs don't make that much, all things considered.

It's the owners. Not Goodell. He's just the front guy. The owners are the ones who have locked out the refs.

I suppose this will come down to the players refusing to play until the real refs are back.
