Too bad when we saw Tolleson declining at the end of last year we didn’t trade him. Hindsight.
Maybe, just maybe we and Griffin can squeak out a series win tomorrow. What dya say!
I think it was actually pretty obvious to most of us as you say in regards to Tolleson as most of us did not feel he was the man for the closer job at the end of last year and going into this year. His stuff seems so hittable for some reason.I voted for him and MM to be gone in the off season.
Kinda wondered that myself. If Griff can get through the order twice and keep it to two runs I'm with y'a.
Now with Ramos DFA who is the long man?
Would be good if some other starter not named Hamels could get a win. Yu did pitch well enough yesterday to get one with just 2 earned runs but offense let him down.If Griff can get through the order twice and keep it to two runs I'm with y'a.

I'm more worried about the cost associated with acquiring Sale than the whole psycho/primadona issue. I've only ever heard of two instances involving Chris Sale, and both have had him railing against management. And while he might have some issues, I do know that Kenny Williams is a first-rate asshat and Rick Hahn isn't much better. Sale got pissed at Williams the first time because LaRoche was his buddy and LaRoche's son was popular in the clubhouse. He felt like Kenny Williams went back on his word about it being ok for the kid to be with the team. So while it is a bit strange that the kid had to be around so much, I can see that being kind of a he said-he said situation where it's tough to know exactly what went down.
And from everything I've read so far about tonight, Sale had told management multiple times that he felt the throwback uniforms were very uncomfortable and thought they affected his pitching. Then he got livid when they said the team was wearing them tonight, so he cut them up. A bit over the top for sure and he should have just gotten over it. But he said that he didn't like management placing more value on PR stuff than team wins. I think he's just a little eccentric and doesn't like their upper management. Can't say I blame him for that.
If Griff can get through the order twice and keep it to two runs I'm with y'a.
