Tough to get a ticket under $1000.00 for game one. Game 2, 6,7 in Boston are even more money

Crazy shit but for a lot of fans its a top tier 'bucket list' dream. Hell I still got tix for Game 1 v Sox in the ALDS, $157/pop for left outfield box seats. Got reimbursed but just saying - some of the prime seats were upward of $500. If we had somehow made it to the WS I image our seats would be in the same range

But buyers beware. Folks got to watch out for scams - was all over the news here NOT to buy from craigslist or scalpers b/c the tix were most likely counterfeit. No doubt the same situation exists in Boston

On that note - GO SOX. Ill be watching from my prime seat in front of the HD :suds:

It is a disgrace. You wind up with a bunch of corporate stuffed shirts wining and dining clients to make business deals. Hardly even paying attention to the game. MLB should put a ceiling on all postseason ticket prices.

I don't think that'll change much, since season ticket holders generally get priority to buy playoff tickets....and a large portion of season ticket holders will always be companies/firms.

I think I paid $250 for game 2 in 2006, but that was their cost. It might have been $200... don't recall exactly. It was from a season tix holder friend. Idk how much they were going for on the resale market.

It is historic !

lol the place is a dump I admit. No chance I would drop a grand to watch a sporting event. I prefer the comfort of my home with my 62in TV.

Buddy of mine paid $1500 for 2 tickets to game 4 of the ALCS last year. But he was in the first row down the left field side.

Small ballpark + HUGE fan base = high ticket prices, corporate bigwigs or not.

A little perspective, please.

If I was going to blow a grand on a game, I'd find funner ways to do it but I might end up arrested and divorced the next morning.

I paid $335 to get into a Lakers championship game in 2002.

Ya I am thinking Vegas or something. Fuck a stupid ballgame. Maybe a game 7 Stanley cup game with the Bruins in it for me but even that honestly I would rather be at home with a couple buds having beers and safe.

It has a lot of obstructed view seats, granted, but I would call it a dump.

And from most of the seats you get a better view of the action than in the more distant seats in newer ballparks.

I wish I could afford Monster Seats, but I still prefer Fenway to places like the Astrodome. Which I have been to a long time ago.
