I don't think it was much better if at all. They likely would have been taking the Wil Myers contract on and getting Naylor/Margot and Lucchesi/Quantrill. I think Verdugo and Graterol (whose younger than both pitchers) are more intriguing than any of those (though I think Naylor ends up being a better hitter than Verdugo). Also Myers sucks and the Sox would be taking on that contract, plus they'd still have Price.]

This still sucks.

Betts might be the best player in baseball, non-Trout division.
