Andrew Cashner to the Red Sox.

Say what you will about win-loss record for pitchers, but a 9-3 mark on a 27 win(at the time of the trade) team is pretty impressive.

Steve Carlton's 27 wins on a 59 win team is near the top of my list of best seasons for a pitcher.

Orioles scored 6+ runs in 11 of his 17 starts. They only have 13 other games with 6+ runs support. They're averaging 4.18 runs per game on the season.

While the Orioles lineup is pretty bad, it's the pitching staff that makes them truly awful.

Probably can't catch the 62 Mets, but the 03 Tigers might be in trouble.

Good pickup for Boston. Cashner is a good pitcher no matter who he plays for.

i thought he should be the one moved to the bullpen, not Eovaldi.

My guess is Eo is just not gonna be 100% the entire season. Otherwise why do this?

They still need another playoff starter.

yeah, Cashner's not someone I'd want in my playoff rotation plus Porcello's looked god awful.

I’ve always thought Cashner should be a reliever. Let him rev it up for 1-2 innings.

Might as well go for a stroman or an Aaron Sanchez as the window is the next 1-2 years.
