Some recruiting update on Jeter: Coach Gilmore visit him this morning. The good news ND is still his #1. This is usually on heard of when a player decommits. The report coming out is that he felt like taking more visit and he didnt want to do that while being committed. He felt it would be wrong and wrong to do that to the ND coaching staff. He does Visit Mich this week.

Now some will say why Commit 2 weeks ago then. Well he got caught up in the moment. At least he didnt wait until 2 months or at the end of the year to do it.

ND still has a chance here and team to watch out for is Mich.

I don't know, you de-commit, you rarely come back.

I read his early posts when he de-committed that he still had ND #1, but I think there's a couple of things to worry about. Michigan's D/C has been definitely negatively recruiting ND. If they can successfully get in his head, he'll likely flip.

Also, I think the de-commitment is to wait and see what ND does. If they fail to hire a homerun D/C and not a Kelly "yes man" or if they even keep Kelly at all, he'll probably stay gone. If they get a good hire at HC and DC, he'll come back.

I agree it's highly unlikely that Jeter returns to the class but they still need a DE particularly a good pass rusher. I don't think they have many spots left in the class I'm guessing unless things change they'll be around 21 or 22 kids in this cycle. I'm guessing that DE,DB, and a top WR are the last 3 spots.

Not surprised they were rumored to be the favorites before he committed and with them actually winning and Notre Dame looking like a dumpster fire, I'm sure Michigan like many schools were hitting him hard with any thing they could negative against Notre Dame not that they needed to Notre Dame were doing a fine enough job of that on their own.

That Kelly was not fun to talk to and had too many rules. 1st time I ever heard that. That is 1 thing Kelly is good at and that is talking.

Honestly I think the kid was just looking for an excuse for being flipping. Oh well it is what it is they still need a DE that can get after the QB and I"m not sure that he might have ended up as a DT.

Guess what......... 5 star DE Joshua Kaindoh de commits from Maryland. He will announce Jan 1st @ UA game. Funny how winning changes everything PSU is now on top for his services. ND is in the mix with others like FSU, Bama and OSU.

This is a Kid I really wanted ND to land. Chances arent great but he can get big time playing time right away at ND.

More Recruiting update:
4 star DE Joshua Paschal will be visited by Gilmore today. ND chances of landing him is Big. he already wanted to commit but had to fix up his grades and scores first. This would be a nice get here. ND needs pass rushers.

3 star WR Michael Young being Visted by Denson this week. Solid Commit. No worries here.
5 star QB Phil Jurkovec has Sanford stopping by. Said he is 100% Irish. Sanford is his Fav Coach he has met.
4 star OT Joshua Lugg will also see Sanford.

This is a guy that we really need, after Zaire possibly transferring we need a good backup QB for Wimbush (assuming Kizer leaves for NFL)

3 star, 4 star, 5 star players.....doesn't matter with Kelly in charge. That is why there needs to be a change up top. I think the coordinators are doing a good job but Kelly is so egocentric that it is stopping the program from going forward. He is an 8-5 type of coach and that isn't good enough. He hasn't been fired yet so I'm thinking he won't get fired. I hope he finds work elsewhere and sooner than later.

I disagree with this statement. Kelly has been one of the top coaches in the country to send players to the NFL since he took over ND. I think He is in the Top 5 they said. He does help produce talent and helps the kids get to the next level and graduate. ND #1 or #2 in this span of graduate NFL players in the NFL right now.

I do think he gets 1 more year to turn it around. I mean lets not forget we just went to the Fiesta bowl, we beat LSU in a bowl game and went to a NC game during his time. its not all bad. Fans just like to over react. Yes I am one of them sometimes.

now I wouldnt mind a change but I also understand giving him 1 more year. We will never be Bama or OSU year in and year out in the Hunt. They can recruit anyone and recruit kids that dont go to class. I think ND goal is to be in the hunt 2 out of 4 years. 3 out of 4 is a Big plus.

I will agree with NFL talent but that isn't translating to the amount of wins they should get. But, who is better than Kelly out there that will coach this school?

Well ND just lost a commit 4 star LB Peter WWerner. This is a big loss because this is a position of need.

ND only has 2 LB's in this class. David Admas and Drew White.

Werner coming off double hip surgery so maybe its not that bad of a loss.

He is looking for teams to fall all over him. OSU is in the lead he said.

OVerall it still hurts ND to lose a LB especially that ND hasnt recruited LB since June word is because they are full.
