Just when you thought it cant get better the #1 weak side DE 5 Star Oluwole Betiku has de committed from UCLA. ND is in the race he said. Imagine him on 1 side and Kareem on the other. OMG.

First I've heard of this so it would be a huge get for Notre Dame and now Land Hayes and keep him at LB. Also Betiku decommitted from UCLA. It would be great if they landed Kareem, Hayes, and Betiku.

This years class started slow but has been picking up steam as of late. With Morgan, Vaughn and now Kareem. Honestly I wouldn't even care if they didn't take another RB or WR if they got Kareem, Hayes, and Betiku.

Big time Steam. I bashed it early on but we are moving fast on a lot of top guys now. Man if we land Hayes and Betiku this D will be scary. We haven't had a Combo like Kareem and Betiku since Tuitt and Lynch and Lynch left the following year.

ND just landed its biggest recruit in this class. They get their BIG time Pass rusher. 5 Star DE Khalid Kareem. This is so BIG for ND. He was once a Bama Commit. He will also be an EE. He would of commit last week but needed to make sure ND would allow him to be an EE.

ND beat out OSU, Mich, MSU and Bama.

Gilmore just landed his biggest commit.

Great way to start the weekend.

It would be huge if they landed all three and they keep picking up talent in the secondary as well. This is going to be a top 10 class I think with the guys that left the program (Bryant, Hill, Williams, and Wallace who never made it) they already added at least 3 spots to a class that many thought would be around 17 or 18 and then they will likely lose 3 guys early to the NFL (Stanely, Smith, and Fuller) this class will be at 24 maybe 25 depending on how things break down.

Its going to be a really good class. Im still thinking about how this team will do next year. I don't know if they have a shot at playoffs. They will be young on Both lines and at other positions. I guess it depends on the QB play and if MZ or Kizer can really lead this team next year.

Very underrated player this year is okaware. Leads the team in sacks.

I do think we have a shot this year still.

They still have a shot if they win out, which is all they can do.

I check out Scout.com on a fairly regular basis. Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought they were always showing 17 commits and now they're showing 16, am I wrong or did someone decommit? I am not certain but for some reason I thought the number of commits was 17.

Sunday night brought some good news to the Irish. Junior DE Robert Beal from Norcross, Georgia committed to the Irish. 24/7 Sports has him rated as the #70 overall recruit in the country and the #3 weak-side DE. He picked the Irish over offers from Alabama, FSU, Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Miami, and many others. In addition, his grandmother lives in South Bend for whatever that's worth. GO IRISH!

He's a 2017 commit, so we'll have to wait a year, but this is still good news.

He's a top ten player at his position or #1 depending on which site you go by so he's a huge addition to the 2017 if they keep him, which I think they will considering his Grandmother lives in South Bend.

Yes its a nice get for ND. He is overall ranked #70. Great way to get that class going. If we keep winning we will continue to land top guys. Players like playing for Kelly.

He also called his dream school. So yes I think we keep him. He said it was the easiest decision to make.
