I finally got around to looking at Newell. That guy is a freakin tank.

Speed is getting upgraded across the board. It's clear what Nebraska is trying to do. Less about height/size, more about speed.

On offense, Nebraska is looking to become more of a track meet team without as much emphasis on physicality.

yep... speed across the board. I think they want to be physical still but not at the expense of speed. Otherwise you don't recruit so many road grating run blocking offensive linemen or a guy like Adam Taylor. But speed is at a premium.

Doing the same on defense right now, looks like our profile is shifting a little bit on our DBs too.

Yeah kinda. They told Trai Mosely that he would be "the one shorter DB they would take this year".

We need to be back out there looking under rocks for talent there, because as far as I'm concerned Jason Hall is as shaky of a commit as you're going to see.

True story... Watch for names like Najiele Hale, Adarius Pickett and Henre Tolliver (I love Henre Tolliver). Those are the big names with Husker interest right now.

I see Tolliver is from Rummel, same place Cethan Carter comes from. That can't hurt.

Also looks like Bo is going head to head with big game Bob for him.

not sure we would still take Fenstermacher... he's roughly the same player as Trai Mosely. Would love to get Henre Tolliver though, i know Cethan Carter (as you mentioned) has been working him really good to head out to Nebraska. His stock is only going to go up as he gets more muscle on his body. Pure cover corner with great ball skills, would be a heck of a get.

Talked about MAYBE going to South Carolina again before the season, but he says he's not sure he will, he's mainly looking forward to committing on Aug. 30th.

What I like is the fact that there is no way we have a bad enough season to lose any recruits.

Just need to keep building. We could actually potentially have one of our best years in a long time this season, thus increasing the chance of nabbing some big time recruits in the middle-to -late portion of the season.

8-0 going into Ann Arbor... I hate to quit saying that, but if that's what they are, Nebraska will have the full attention of every major recruit they've reached out to who's still deciding.

with guys like Newell Stolli Collins McMullen and Maurice were going to be pretty surly on the D side in a year or 2, this class DB's need to be hits
