I love this guy, in a non sexual way of course, but come on. I doubt you can embellish on a hit like that.

This is the same Recchi that bitched about the too many men in game 7 call last year?

Yeah, he went with embellished. But still, he did level some pretty heavy accusations in the process.

This isn't the type of thing to say was embellished. Seriously close to crossing a line.

From what I can gather without listening to the audio, he said Montreal embellished with the extent of the injury after the fact, not that Pacioretty embellished. From my experiences, you don't come back from a broken vertebra in a few months, which is exactly what Montreal said is a possibility in this case. My old baseball coach cracked a vertebra in a boating accident, and he was in a neck brace for over a year. If Pacioretty does return for the playoffs, I'd probably be as skeptical of the initial reports as Recchi.

It's actually possible, just depends on the site of the fracture (all we know is C4) and because he's in good shape as is it will help recovery. It may only be a minor fracture, but it's a fracture none the less.

Is Recchi Bruce Boudreau's long lost son? They both need to think before they speak.

Should be an interesting game in Boston tomorrow. I'd expect a little of this -

I like the ad before that clip that states "facts, not opinions".

I've been hearing that some Boston radio guys and fans have been saying that for the last week. First I have heard of a player stating that feeling though. Its as stupid as fans calling 911 IMO.

And it brings to mind a Sports Illustrated writers question I read after Bruin's player Marchand's colorful comments to the press before their last game.

"When Montreal rookie P.K. Subban sounds off on the ice, he is being disrespectful. When Marchand yaps in the room to reporters, it is ... what, exactly?"

I wish all players could be so respectful and classy as Recchi was in that clip.

All of a sudden, Zdeno Chara drops to #2 on the Bruins most hated list for Habs fans...Mark Recchi, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.

it takes a pretty serious back story for me to wanna watch a bruins/habs game over a flyers game

the story has to quadruple for me to consider watching it over a pens/flyers game..

but.....

EDIT: nevermind, the habs are still too small to do anything.

this just adds more fuel to the fire that is the habs-bruins rivalry.

You think Recchi is smart enough to do that on purpose?

Could draw some attention away from Chara, who is definitely the more valuable of the two to the Bruins.

Refresh my memory, was it the Bruins players telling the media that the Habs just "run their mouths" all the time, or something to that effect? Now they're disputing the severity of an injury that their guy wasn't even suspended for?

Idiot Recchi probably thinks Clint Malarchuk embellished this....

I don't know, if you watch it in slow motion it looks like Malarchuk was intentionally snapping his head back to sell the call, and whipped his noggin a little too hard causing the artery to burst.
