Seems to me the majority of your issues are on defense. Aren't you missing aliotti more than dreading helfrich?

Your offense is still quite dangerous, but it seems like your defense is a disaster. Playing way below their talent level. You need a new DC and fast IMO.
and one who doesnt have the DB play 100 yards off and isnt afraid to blitz

A few things worry me about that game. Both cal and USC were able to gash our D in the run game almost at will. Sark was a fucking fool to go back to the passing game so late in that game. Oregon still has the most feared rusher in the conf and not having Victor for the first half is going to suck.

Add the inconsistency of our offense and the turnovers they have given up and the ducks will still be favored next week. It's not a slam dunk.

Yeah. I get it. I could see the game going the same way the Cal game went.

But, tonight I don't care. I'm not worried about a desperate duck team as much as I am a woeful offense on our end.

But! We are getting better and better. I can't say the same for the ducks at this point. So...

actually OD may not meltdown because he will come up with how this is how Oregon gets Chip back
Well that's why most are still up here. No one knows what he's going to say, but everyone can't wait to hear it.

Pellum needs to go no doubt.

But it was Helfrich that decided to run clock when we were leading by only 10 with 7 minutes to go. He's a fucking idiot.

Yeah, the problems are definitely on defense. But Helfrich shut the offense down with 8 minutes left thinking a 10 point lead was enough. With the way the defense has played this year, he should have kept attacking. It doesn't help that neither Lockie nor Alie can throw the ball. The only way we have a chance is if Vernon Adams is back next weekend.

I will be as worried as I always am at big games while I'm sitting in my seat at the stadium next Saturday night, but either way that place is going to be electric. The fans are going to be as into that game as any in the last 6 or 7 years. There is going to be a sense that they can end the streak and entirely end Oregon's season at the same time. The blood is already in the water and the sharks are already circling.

That place is going to be fucking awesome next week.

Can't

Wait.

Ducks are gored like a bull right now. Sure, the Huskies have glaring issues right now, but our defense is light years better than theirs this year, and as long as we can run the ball some them and contain Freeman, we got a shot. There is no stoping Freeman. He's a beast. But keep their run game honest and we got a shot. They're the most vunerable we've seen them in years.

Very true. I think our only chance is with Vernon Adams coming back. If Lockie or Alie start that game, it's over.

None of that is wrong, but talking about containment on freeman and actually doing it are two different critters. Our D hasn't been good against the run AND have lost Victor for the first half. They have to find a way to keep it close for his return. I don't even fear Adams if he returns as he doesn't have the rhythm and timing with his guys here like he did at EWU. He's just not the same and UW has already done well against two legit high level QB's this year.

I'm more worried about our offense and their play calling/execution. Browning can't miss wide open receivers this week and they can't have the kind of turnovers they did vs Cal.

I didn't get to watch the second half of this game. Did the O's go back to trying to be a passing team? Or did they feature that potent run game with Freeman and Griffin? Because UW doesn't have an answer for that rushing game. I'm serious that I really don't fear Adams AT ALL. Not even a little. It's that run game that will score their points against us.

One thing for sure. It's going to be packed to the rafters at Husky Stadium next week. Gonna be loud.

Royce needs some help. It was proven today. Towards the end, it was obvious that there was no threat at all downfield. Even with that, Royce still almost pulled it off.
UW and WSU's defenses aren't the same. UW's strength is their secondary and LB corp. They have been vulnerable against the run all year against everyone they have played. WSU's D line is better against the run than we are right now.

If your OC doesn't have a seriously heaving dose of run in this weeks plan you need to send him to the bus depot to find his own way home. It's obvious to everyone.

I listened on the radio because directv doesn't have the PAC12 network. But it was up the middle on 1st and second, and if it got to 3rd Lockie would either over throw or under throw the receivers.

Oh, there will definitely be a heavy dose of Freeman and Griffen.
