For Georgia this year, expecting them to win the SEC and make the playoffs this season isn't really in the cards unless they do some big time overachieving, and they haven't overachieved in my lifetime.

My goals for Georgia are to win 10 regular season games, finish the season ranked in the top 15, and earn the right to be Bama's sacrificial lamb in the SEC Championship game by winning a very winnable SEC East this season.

I don't think that's too unreasonable for now.

I also want to see a lot of growth and development from Jacob Eason, and for Chubb and Michel to close out their college careers with big seasons.

Also, don't look ahead to any opponents. You look ahead to Notre Dame, and App State is good enough, experienced enough and well coached enough to pull off an upset.

Win Pac. Considering the weak ooc schedule, 1 loss can potentially ruin a playoff birth. So win Pac and let cards fall how they will should be the goal.

Win 'em all.

Same goal I always have.

The goal is...to keep it in your hands.

The only negative with a goal like that, is not to overreact if it is not achieved.

I still overreact when Georgia loses a game I predicted them to lose.

I try to be realistic, but I still want to win em all, and every loss still sucks.

We can win the SEC East and therefore the SEC with a playoff birth. We must beat at least two out of these three to accomplish that: @LSU, UGA and Alabama. Rough road, but doable.

I think I'd take the tradeoff TBH.

I mean, we've only beaten Florida 6 times in the last 27 matchups. That would be a lot easier to swallow if we played for a natty in the sparse years that we did manage to win.

I agree, but damn it still gets old. I liked the days it was a rivalry separated bu 2 or three games and 15 total points. I am tired of being Uga's bitch. :suds:

Truthfully I doubt we win our own division let alone conference, pretty pathetic all things considered.

That last statement is the most important.

I think it is very unrealistic for any team to expect to run the table - especially in this dan and age of 12-13 game schedules. Every time your team takes he field is as much an opportunity for them to commit that extra error that costs them a game as it is to do that extra heroic thing that wins a close game. And given the number of moving parts on a football team, the former is much more likely.

So it is always best to temper ones expectations. As Benjamin Frankiln (a scientist and statesman of some note) said, it is better to expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised than it is to expect the best and be disappointed.
