So 100 degrees in humidity is cushy to you?

Also I cannot remember the last time I saw a Big10 game in snow. You guys finish mid November long before the snow comes.

LOL @ SEC style football and anyone getting "beat up" by it. Play pro-style, leave the receivers hangin' over the middle, smash mouth run football in 20-40 degree weather and then you can claim that you're all just too beat up to play football in January in that cushy southern/southwest climate. :L

Who are you talking to? I have already stated that I'm not talking about physically not being able to play in January. I'm talking about levels of talent, not injuries. I have no idea why you keep going back to that.

Look at the head to head dude. SEC vs B1G for the last 15 years. Go ahead. Look it up. Because that's what I'm talking about. You can't lay claim to Pac10 or Big12 wins over the B1G in this conversation... We're talking about the SEC...and how their 2nd..3rd...and 4th teams DON'T dominate like you all seem to think they do.

It was 3-1 last year.

You're ELITE program is 1-9 against the SEC all-time in Bowl Games.

I'm not talking banged up physically. I'm talking about when you have 3 championship caliber teams on your schedule, it is easy for each one to lose a game to one of the others and you end up with 3 great teams with 1 loss. And then you have another conference that has two championship caliber teams, so one is going to come out of the head to head unscathed.

You have admitted that top to bottom the SEC is tough. That can't be said about any other conference. Crud, the Big 12 was weak after Texas, OU, and Neb (years ago Neb). By the time you got to the Kansas/IowaSt/Baylors of the world you got a few free games. Not as many free games in the SEC schedule.

But then the SEC's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th best teams should have a better bowl record. They don't...so what you're saying just isn't true. Aside from the SEC's #1 team, they aren't "dominant." They're just better. Period.

Mississippi State 52 Michigan 14

Alabama 49 Michigan State 7

Florida 37 Penn State 24

Ohio State 31 Arkansas 26 (Arkansas had a chance to win at the end)

Which looks more impressive?

Okay, so only last year matters? Check.... LOL @ trying to use Ohio State to justify your arguments when the B1G vs. SEC HEAD TO HEAD record over the last 15-20 years....or throughout history....is neck and neck.

Better...dominant. Now we are just splitting hairs. Beating someone in football is enough, doesn't matter it it is 3-0 or 70-0.

LOL... This is so sad. You're trying to win this debate by looking at ONE season? You know why you have to do that, too, and it's because head to head...even if you just take the last 10 years(the worst the B1G has seen OOC), and the SEC can't seem to pull away from the B1G with on the field results. How does ONE YEAR matter so much?

There is a huge difference between those two words. You know that.

Bottom line, whoever wins the SEC this year is probably either the best team in the country, or second best.

Everyone else will have to earn the term "dominance." Some will, some won't, just depends on the year. Over time...the majority will not.

Get over yourselves.

<begin sarcasm>Ever since the SEC invented football, they have been unbeatable. </end sarcasm>

Get over yourselves. SEC Kool-Aid must be laced with some seriously addictive drugs.

Ok let's do some other years then

2009: 1-1

Auburn 38 Northwestern 35

Penn State 19 LSU 17

2008: 1-1

Iowa 31 South Carolina 10

Georgia 24 Michigan State 12

2007: 2-1

LSU 38 Ohio State 24

Michigan 41 Florida 35

Tennessee 21 Wisconsin 17

2006: 1-2

Florida 41 Ohio State 14

LSU 41 Notre Dame 14 (Should count since they are in Big10 country)

Wisconsin 17 Arkansas 14

Penn State 20 Tennessee 10

So I had to go all the way back to 2006 before the Big10 has a winning record against the SEC.

Arkansas and Tennessee were not world beaters that year btw as Auburn, Florida, and LSU all finished higher in the AP, BCS, and Coaches polls then those three teams.

I can't remember the last time it was 100% and humid down south in October and November...and definitely not during bowl season, but whatever, maayyybe you can claim that now and then in September. But I remember plenty of 20-40 degree games in the Midwest. Snow does not = temperature.

Ya. 2006 was so long ago. I mean...Bret Bielima was only in his first year of coaching back then.... LOL And nobody in the SEC was claiming dominance back then....LOL

Now keep going back...

Not necessarily. Three seasons of "beating" a team could make it a "dominant" run. Scores or a single outcome can contribute to a domination. You are making it sound like if each game isn't decided by 21+ points, it can't be a domination.

I'll let the other states talk for themselves, but in Texas temperature does not = temperature. Temperature + humidity = temperature. Ever been to College Station? An hour north of Houston, which we all know is the armpit of Texas. It can be 80 degrees and 90% humidity and the "real" temperature is about 100 degrees and you can't breath.

honestly Ohio State looks more impressive, Michigan State and Michigan were both overrated and had no business playing those teams in a bowl.

Penn State wasn't great either.

Michigan State was tied with Wisconsin and Ohio State as big team champion going 7-1 in the Big Ten

Alabama went 5-3 in the SEC

5-3 SEC > 7-1 in Big10, I suppose.

Michigan was 4-4 in the Big10, Mississippi State was 4-4 in the SEC. Even record.

Penn State went 4-4 in Big Ten and Florida went 4-4 in the SEC. Even record.
