Notice it wasn't discussed until the SEC started winning BCS Titles every year and dominating the sport. Now the other leagues feel like they are falling behind and need to pick up teams to compete.

That is funny.

Sad thing is, the SEC is still winning by getting A&M and the Texas market to add to our already dominating recruiting region.

And A&M is winning by not waiting around for everyone else to find a dance partner and then being left with the fat girl. That almost happened last summer, and don't want it to happen again. So, A&M is trying to join the best, and let everyone else fight for the table scraps.

Keep winning the over-signing cup and the academic non-qualifierathon and you'll keep dominating....the national championship. You claim top to bottom, but your #2 and #3 schools have all they can handle with the supposedly pathetic Big 10's #2 and #3 teams.

Your best school is usually the best in the country. The rest of your conference acts like that means no one can hang with them....yet teams do every year. You think your runners up can take on USC, Oklahoma, Texas....but they can't even handle the B1G runners up on a yearly basis. That series is basically dead even. You're just full of yourselves. Let your champs be the champs, but this team SEC garbage is...garbage. See ya.

LOL @ the Big 10. Finally enough schools to have a conference championship game, otherwise OSU never would have made as many title games as they did. Easy to stay ranked at the top when your last game is 3 weeks before every real conferences.

Hey, whatever. Assume the B1G is trash. This just proves even more that the SEC teams NOT in the National Championship game should shut their mouths.

You do know the runner up is usually in the Sugar Bowl not the Citrus Bowl? Also SEC pretty much dominated Baby10 last year.

So we're only talking about last year now because that works better for you, ha?

Your #2 team is usually in the Cap 1. Either way, the SEC faces their B1G counterparts in the Cap 1 and Outback, and that series over time has been pretty even. You all shout SEC SEC at the National Championships you win, but that's just so that during years when you don't have a leg to stand on...you can still pretend to be superior. Fact is, there are plenty of teams in the country better than your 2, 3, and 4 teams every year.

Still the best conference top to bottom. But you all still overestimate your teams on an individual basis. It's ridiculous.

B1G finally has legitimacy in my eyes, FWIW. No champ game always made your "winner" a joke. At least the real conferences had a tough game at the end of the year.

Hopefully it will help with their bowl season conditioning. You need that game week, especially when you're a power team. Even your bones have to adapt to football contact. Too many weeks off and you lose it.

Dude, SEC teams only look "weaker" because they beat each other up. It is like the Yanks and BoSox. If they were in separate divisions they both would win their respective ones every year. It is amazing that any SEC team can get through that gauntlet year in and year out. In a world where one loss can remove Championship hopes, going undefeated through the SEC is double tough...and then you have to beat the best from the other SEC division AGAIN at the end of the season.

I agree. And it could help if your team is on the BCS equation bubble. But, imagine if an undefeated OSU in years passed had to run up against a 1 loss team from another Big10 division and lost? No Big 10 national title, and it would have been a free pass to the title game before that Big10 Championship game came about.

I hate that excuse. Everybody can claim that. The B1G plays power football in the middle of winter....how are they not just as banged up? The weeks off don't help them, it just makes them softer.

Look at the Big10 bowl record the last ten years and then look at the SEC's bowl records.

Big10 beats Arkansas a lot because Arkansas always losses their bowl games (especially under Nutt).

However most of the rest of the SEC usually creams their Big10 team in Bowl Games. Most the nation has been creaming the Big10 recently.

I'm not talking banged up physically. I'm talking about when you have 3 championship caliber teams on your schedule, it is easy for each one to lose a game to one of the others and you end up with 3 great teams with 1 loss. And then you have another conference that has two championship caliber teams, so one is going to come out of the head to head unscathed.

You have admitted that top to bottom the SEC is tough. That can't be said about any other conference. Crud, the Big 12 was weak after Texas, OU, and Neb (years ago Neb). By the time you got to the Kansas/IowaSt/Baylors of the world you got a few free games. Not as many free games in the SEC schedule.

Even before all this I knew the SEC was a rumble. The team that comes out of the SEC had already played better teams than they would see in any bowl game. We (we as in A&M) learned that last year in no short order :)

I just wish A&M and Arkansas could play each other in a bowl. Then ONE OF THEM would have to finally win a bowl game! HA

LOL @ SEC style football and anyone getting "beat up" by it. Play pro-style, leave the receivers hangin' over the middle, smash mouth run football in 20-40 degree weather and then you can claim that you're all just too beat up to play football in January in that cushy southern/southwest climate. :L

Look at the head to head dude. SEC vs B1G for the last 15 years. Go ahead. Look it up. Because that's what I'm talking about. You can't lay claim to Pac10 or Big12 wins over the B1G in this conversation... We're talking about the SEC...and how their 2nd..3rd...and 4th teams DON'T dominate like you all seem to think they do.
