the Cowboys had a vision and plan with RB by committee over bell cow from the very start. Seems many think it will be Dallas's downfall this year. I remain convinced the running part is the least of the worries. Running to a designed hole is seldom an issue for runningbacks that made it to professional football. Protection in the passing game....that concerns me and why I pull for McFadden to stay upright 15 to 16 games. Sounds like the new runningback makes Randle look like a road scholar...least with regards to knowing where to line up and who to block.

now if the defense slowly becomes a force in sacks and turnovers then perhaps that offsets a lesser running game. Like most NFL teams, keeping Romo upright and playing weekly is paramount for success.

I'm betting the come line on Dallas's defense this season and pulling hard for McFadden. :thumb:

I think the run game will be fine, committee or not. I like Randle because I think he can get it done as a main back. Wasn't to high on the McFadden pickup because of his injury history, but so far in the few plays I've seen this preseason he looked great. I was thinking of drafting him but he went a little sooner that I thought he would.

me too...but pass protection assignments from the different defensive alignments is more what I was posting. McFadden was said to be pretty good.

I have been saying it all summer. No reason to throttle down now.

It indeed would be a pleasant surprise. I have been in the Randle camp.

I think this year is like last year. If the OL performs and some how The DL takes a giant leap forward like the OL did last year, we're going to have a great year. I like McFadden, but I'm pulling for Randle...don't know why but I love his potential.

I like Randle but am pulling for whoever is best for this team. I will jump on the Michael bandwagon in 1/2 a second if he turns out to be our best back.

I'll stick my neck out and say Michael's will be the guy carrying the load for Dallas as the season progresses.

It's the NFL, ...the guy who has the best build for the job probably prevails. You just get the feeling that McFadden who is the best all around back can only give you limited production.

I think the running game will find a way, the Cowboys tough schedule leads to a little worse regular season record, but the season has a happier ending. 11-5, Super Bowl Champs

Was Greg banned? I thought for sure if AP got off to a hot start we were going to hear endless comments about how we should have traded for him. Ignoring of course that he wanted to give up a 1st round pick and given him $15M per year!!!

Shut I forgot about Greg, was thinking WFYRE and his trade the world for McFadden rants. It is possible they both share the same bed.

Yeah, even I came around to that at the end. The pro Jerry comments threw me, but seemed more Frye than anyone overall...
