It would draw more attention/comments if you listed what the actual standings were.

Yeah, that class was decent, but 3rd best in the nation? Really?

There wasn't much difference between UF and the team that came in at 10th. The distance between 2(Bama) and 3(UF), was the same as the distance between UF and LSU.

Haskins only played a year, Bosa only played 2 essentially. Had a bunch of guys transfer out of the program or have little contribution. The 2017 class will grade much better.

Edit. Actually I don't think it mattered about the lack of playing time for Bosa and Haskins. They each received the highest grade possible.

I'm not sure I really understand the logic behind these rankings, honestly. There doesn't seem to be any actual consistency.

It's grading out how the 2016 produced. Including transfers that came in during that year. For example Joe Burrow will count towards LSU's 2018 class not this one since he transferred to the program in 2018.

Actually, I guess I don't really know what exactly to expect from an individual class. I think that class will have about 6 or 7 guys drafted (not sure what is "standard"), with two of them first rounders.

Bosa and Haskins were great. Harrison has had a great career as well. But guys like Cooper, McCall, Mack and Victor have just had okay careers. Factor in all the transfers it's probably about right.

Is it how they produced based on their recruiting rating or something?

Fuller had a good career. Jordon got drafted in the 4th round (I believe). We still have 4 (I think) guys playing this year. Cooper can go midround next draft if he stays healthy. Ferrell should be productive this year, Borland will probably end up in the same category as Mack and Victor, and McCall... Well, probably will end up as a "bust".

It isn't taking into what they could potentially do in 2020 as a 5th year player.

Jordan Fuller has had an outstanding career at OSU and will likely be a 2nd/3rd rounder. Victor actually had a very good OSU career, too. 18 TDs with a YPC average around 16+ yards over basically 3 years is pretty good with how much this team spreads the ball around. Michael Jordan was a first team all-conference in 2017 and first-team All-American in 2018. Malcolm Pridgeon also played every game in his final 2 years at OSU after transferring in from JUCO. Cooper and Mack have not lived up to their recruiting rankings, but they've both been valuable contributors. Throw in Haskins and Bosa, along with Harrison, Borland, and Drue Chrisman, and I'm not sure how you can say this still wasn't a top 5 class.
