From NESN:
Lewis was one of just two of ESPN’s panelists to pick against the undefeated Pats on Monday, instead taking Rex Ryan’s Bills on the road. He also provided egregious commentary that he’d rather play for Ryan than New England coach Bill Belichick. But arguably the most interesting tidbit — and humorous, when you try to picture it — comes from this rumor: Scott Zolak was told that Ray Lewis gave a speech to the Bills Sunday Night prior to the Pats game.

Was he compensated for his speech? I assume he was. I see no problem with it.

not compensated. did it on his own.

hes supposed to be an unbiased analyst.

Why is he supposed to be unbiased? You're not making any sense here.

How do you know he wasn't compensated? Does it say so in the article? I didn't read it.

Ex players are paid for things like this all the time.

whats an in game analysts job?

to be fair and unbiased.

its a basic principle of journalism.

and yes, per local radio (source of this) he wasnt paid, and asked if he could do it. he hates NE that much...

Hahahahaha. You must be trolling or joking. First, Ray Lewis is not a journalist. Second, since when are they supposed to be "fair and unbiased?"

This is not a story at all. He was paid to fire the team up. I'm sure of it. He can say or do whatever he wants. That may be a conflict of interest given his job. That's his decision to make, though. He should know the terms of his contract and abide by them. If he broke those terms then ESPN can reprimand him. Maybe they already have, but I doubt it.

Mike Greenberg is a Jets homer. He says so on his show EVERY MORNING. You're off base here. You're not making any sense. You're crying about literally nothing.

technically, lewis is a journalist.

watch TV sometime.

thats what an analyst is. its a form of journalism, just like a news reporter.

his job is to be unbiased.

does mike greenberg do color analysis for jets games on national TV?

if not, your comparison sucks.

again, it amazes me someone doesnt understand this.

LOL

Should Rush Limbaugh not be allowed to pander to one side? What about Jon Stewart?

You're not making one bit of sense.

Ray Lewis IS NOT obligated to be fair and unbiased AT ALL. He's paid for his name, face and his "Expert" opinion. What he chooses to do on his own time, off air, is his own business.

RAY LEWIS IS NOT A JOURNALIST. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DOESN'T "GET IT."

My comparisons are spot fucking on. You're just acting like a petulant child. Shocking.
