I really do like tonight's game, but there were a few stupid fouls that actually changed the gamescape... and some dumb dropped passes. So, i think it's a clear #2.

People forget that the half time score in the 06 Rose was 16-10. It was a tough first half.
We nearly broke Leinart on that one scamper he took, and C. Griffin nearly decapitated their Full Back.

Then, even though we had FIVE future NFL starting DBs on that team, Leinart regrouped and started the 2nd half going 14-15, [the only one he didn't get was because a WR who actually caught the ball took a back step before securing the ball in play].

Then LenDale White goes off, and Reggie takes flight, Mi. Griffin intercepts in end zone, USC takes 2 score lead when griffin breaks Brown's arm, VY brings us back for 2 TDs... fucking EPIC.

One dumb play by Reggie. One dumb play by Ross fumbling on 1st punt return.

Otherwise, a perfect badass game.

I really thought it was impossible for USC to lose a game. At that time, I forgot what it felt like to lose. It was like 2 1/2 years since our last lost. It took me a week to realize USC really lost to Texas.

Even when down by 12 with 6:47 left, I wasn't extra nervous.
The only time I was nervous is when we started the last drive, y'all grew some big ass nuts and attacked us, and we started freshman, Ramonce "4.9 lbs of weed" Taylor, at RB. The guy can't block for shit, and mack Brown had him in. After the the first three plays of abject failure on that drive, Mack wised up and put in 4th year Medical Redshirt Junior, Selvin Young, and he opened up the lanes for VY especially on the last play of that drive when he coaxed consensus All American Frostee Rucker to the middle as VY scampered right.

I didnt think this game was particularly well played. Just seemed a bit sloppy. Jimbo and his OC were terrible.

In all seriousness, the SC - Texas game was the best I've seen. The only other one I can think of was pre-BCS era. Nebraska beating the Warren Sapp Hurricanes was the best game I've ever seen. I guess because I hated that Miami team and liked the Huskers.

The non-BCS champ game I would pu ton the list was Miami v Neb. That was the beginning of the Miami run and in a larger context the comnign out part for Florida football. Nebraska went for 2 with no time left and failed

I remember that. For some reason I always liked the Huskers. I guess bc they were so different from what I saw in the PAC -10.

Last night was one hell of a game. Much better than I expected.

2005 Texas/USC is the king though. Yes, I am biased, but I think most non-homers would agree with that as well. I think there is something even more magical about the underdog completing the cindarella comeback in the final seconds vs the heavy favorite getting it done with 51 seconds left.

Great fininsh the to BCS era last night though!

Last night's game was great but I think I would have to rate them as:

1. tOSU-Miami
2. FSU-Aubrun
3. Texas-USC

There were calls and no calls that dramatically changed those games but the first 2 had me on the edge of my seat in the second half.

The nightmares still haven't stopped....

I'd rank 'em:
1) Texas over USC
2) tOSU over Miami
3) FSU over Auburn
4) Auburn over Oregon
