My team did as expected. The Isles will have a lot of bulletin board material once again this year. With any luck they'll be healthy enough to make their opponents lives miserable & break a few possible playoff teams hearts by knocking them out of contention.:D:

Isn't it great to have owners that care Bolts? Even Florida looks more credible than our teams do atm :L

I don't think it's that Garth didn't try. I think it's more about players don't see the Islanders in a positive light.

When Garth says he doesn't really like this UFA class & he doesn't plan to do anything the rest of the weekend it's a bit concerning.

Yeah, I agree. They tried pretty hard. They can't MAKE Ehrhoff sign. The Isles are getting closer.

What is the latest on the new arena?

Wild made their spalsh last week at the draft, like the Harding signing today. Should ensure good draft picks next year...

As for the Ducks, I also like the Sutton for Foster swap.

There will be a vote on August 1st in Nassau County. Only residents in the county can vote. If they vote YES, a 400 million dollar bond will be made available to build an arena & minor league baseball stadium in Nassau County. Most people in the know believe it will pass. Even the local politicians are for it.

I think the Sutton for Foster swap was a coup for the Ducks. I like Andy, but he's an injury waiting to happen. It's just the way he plays. He's always looking for the big hit.

Sutton Foster makes me feel warm inside.

Cool, thanks. I guess while the most important day of the offseason for 28 teams was either today or tomorrow, Winnipeg already had theirs and the Isles will have theirs on August 1. GL, pulling for it. The Lighthouse looks cool.

So eloco and ritari:

Assuming Poti retires, that leaves 4.7 mil to spend on Alzner, Brouwer and Perrault. In addition it leaves 2 roster spots. Perrault is a bit player and may Ppay in Hershey until an injury happens. Who do you think is getting moved. There is no chance McPhee did not know he would have the cap space to sign those two, so a de is in the works. My bet is it goes down once Richards signs. So who goes?

Semin
Green
Fehr
Schultz

My guess is Semin and/or Fehr because there is a glut of wingers now and seven solid, NHL level defenseman is not out of the question for an NHL team going into the season.

I would not hate moving Scultz however.

I would be salty if we moved Green.

Think the order of who I think is most likely to get traded is as follows:

Semin
Schultz
Fehr
Green

The list of those players who I'd like to go in order would be

Semin
Green/schultz/ fehr

Also I think we won't just be able to trade semin for all draft picks. If not, we'll end up taking back a playwr and that's where i think schultz and fehr are added in to the mix. We can't trade semin for picks and a forward or defensemen without adding fehr or schultz
