Solid win last night. DeRozan being out for the Raptors definitely helped, although it would have been fun seeing him and Swaggy P in a battle of former Trojans.

The official word from the Lakers FO re: the use of the roster hardship that allows them to sign a 16th player seems to be "No rush". Here's why:

Scott and General Manager Mitch Kupchak both agree that there's no point in adding another body until the Lakers return home and can practice. Because of having three games in four days and travel, the Lakers will not be able to practice until Saturday at the earliest. "Having somebody here would negate everything we need," Scott said. "We need guys here for practice and things like that." The Lakers have been linked to Earl Clark. who played for the team in the 2012-13 season.

Essentially, no point in bringing in someone who is just going to sit on the bench for a week before finally getting their first practice in.

Seems reasonable. I'd like to see the Lakers string together a couple of wins before they add Clark. The team morale would be up. Vids I have seen of Clark in the D-League demonstrate he has really polished his three-shot. That'd be cool to add him to Johnson, Swag, Kelly, and possibly Lin along with Kobe hitting the three-ball on a consistent basis. Now if we can just get them to play D down the stretch.
