I will ensure at least 8 local streets are named Peachtree in your honor.

Funny enough, I used to like the Leafs when they had Cujo in between the posts. F*in loved that guy.

:suds: So I'm a Leaf

It requires getting a tattoo of John Tavares in his pajamas on your butt. Just warning you.

I know Buffalo is technically a NY team, but we're practically Canadian. And nobody could accuse you of being a bandwagon fan if you get on board now...

Unlike if you choose the Leafs.

They don't have anyone even close to the level of Cujo anymore. The Jackets have the best goalie in the world.

for now

I grew up near Baltimore Md and only had AHL hockey to watch. I feel your pain. But live hockey is live hockey. I've been to a few Cincy Cyclones games when we've been down there. ECHL games are usually good for a laugh.

If you go in knowing it's gonna be bad, it's actually better than going to watch when you want good hockey and the team lays an egg. Some of my son's friends play Club hockey in college (he's still in high school and former teammates have moved on) and we go to those games and love it. It's not good hockey.

Good luck picking a team. I would suggest anyone but the Penguins.

To be honest I haven't seen it in a while so my opinion may be outdated but the "good" teams in club weren't bad at all from what I remember, looked like they could easily play a D3 schedule and do fine (assuming of course that everyone on the club roster was eligible).

No need for further debate. He has chosen the obvious and correct team.

Well done! :suds:

Oh and one other bit of advice.

Holtby is a sieve.

It's best to ignore everything that happened after he left up to about a year ago.

Things are fun now, though. Everyone hates us again :)

What do you mean "again"?
Not much to hate when the team is irrelevant, beyond the crashing and burning phase ala what the Sens are going through right now.

I used to hate the Sabres but tbh could give a shit about them right now because they've been horrendous for a decade. If they turn it around the hate can (and probably will) rise virulently.

Maybe the Leafs being good again might cause Bettman to actually negotiate and avoid a fourth work stoppage during his tenure as commish.
Keep in mind the Leafs were pretty good at the time of the first two lockouts.

Yeah, picking on them right now is like making fun of the fat person at the gym.

I thought that the 2005 Stanley Cup could have been theirs. I still do.

Maybe. Still had Gary and Joe but Nolan and Mogilny seemed to be nearing breaking point by then.

Defence was probably as good as it ever got during that era though - peak Kaberle and McCabe, Leetch would've still been there, Klee was a solid vet. Plus Eddie.

Also gotta figure JFJ would've traded the first rounder for a forward at some point which means they never draft Rask which means they never trade him for Raycroft which means the rebuild may have started a decade earlier than it did. Maybe now I'm dreaming.

Well, if it wasn't so far West, I'd easily go with the Flames since they were originally in Atlanta, and all that happened before my time.

The Jets hurt, so I can't go for them.

Like I said, I've been a Hawks fan since the Trashers left, so I'll likely just keep on moving in that direction, although a team closer to home would be nice.

@forty_three - Do you have any routes to get tickets that aren't through ticket master?

Wife and I will be up in Columbus on Friday, the 27th of December, and was looking for tickets against the Leafs.
