Milk (and whoever else cares) -

It goes by how far off you are, weighted by how high you have them ranked.

Raw score goes from +6 (for having exactly the right ranking) to -18 by being off by 24 spots (I capped it there so there aren't ridiculously punitive negative numbers). So if you're six spots off it's a wash; better than that is positive; worse is negative.

It's weighted by the square of the inverse order of the rankings, divided by 100 (so top QB rank is multiplied by 24*24/100, or 5.76, 10th QB is multiplied by 15*15/100, or 2.25, the 20th by 5*5/100 or .25....)

Since we have 36 RBs as opposed to 24 QBs, the inverse order is multiplied by 2/3 before squaring to balance out (36*2/3 is 24, so the top RB is still weighted by 24*24/100).

(One minor flaw here is that if you have someone ranked very low you get a small negative effect if they do extremely well, while people who don't have them ranked at all get off scot-free. This happened to me with Moreno and Stacy last year.)

Because of the 24 vs. 36 issue, I'm toying with the idea that 9 spots off would be a wash for RB (instead of 6), but the raw score would also be multiplied by 2/3 to keep it even with QBs. The cap for being off would shift to 36 from 24, also keeping even.
