Looks like I'm all in on AP this year... unless tlance shocks me at 1 overall... which he won't.

Careful - - the only year I was 'lucky' enough to get AP in a couple of leagues, he whupped his kid and never saw the field. .... there is no such thing as a sure bet in the NFL.

Just to expand on why I think that, not to open another point of debate on the subject..

It changes the point becuase attempting to predict or account for guys missing games, LeVeon Bell being a prime example since he routinely misses 2-3 games with some random injury and now is suspended, is part of the strategy in compiling your rankings, adding in per game averages, regardless of weight given, negates that aspect, and creates a "most valuable player" prediction, as opposed to just comparing our rankings. And this whole thing started becuase we wondered, as a group, how would our rankings stack up against the "experts"? That's why the guys from ESPN, CBS, Yahoo, and others are included, so how are we going to get an accurate comparison of how we stack up against them if we're compiling rankings based on a different set of rules than they are?

That's the point as to why it changes the entire premise of having this thing

I guess to me it doesn't change because I don't worry about bell having those little injuries (haven't his 2 injuries been 2 serious knee injuries too?) So my rankings are unaffected. But I'm sure they would be for some so I see what you're saying.

SP, I have posted rankings before MBBRL drafts in years past and I can tell you that as much as it may be like "showing your hand," we have some stubborn owners.

Knowledgeable, yes! Smart, most certainly! But still stubborn.

They will not compromise their personal value of players even if you have someone they liked ranked higher on your list.

I have no problem with pushing the deadline... I read the beginning of this thread and the original deadline for the original SportsHoopla tournament was september 1st... So if that works better for everyone then thats ok...

Players get minor hamstring pulls. They separate their shoulder falling to the ground, or opening a can of Chef Boyardee Spagettios. Then the adjustment lists start tumbling in.

September 1st would be awesome. That should solve everyone's concerns. Is there any reason that the deadline would have to be before the draft?

That being said, like Joe mentioned, everybody is pretty transparent around here. Not a ton of misdirection going on. Hell, TKO could probably correctly predict 75% of the first right now.

Based on Treff's vacation, what if we made the lists due Monday August 15?
That would also eliminate some of the typical camp/pregame injuries.
If you recall, Wil had to creatively adjust late submissions last year for some injury causalities.

I won't be able to get min in until late December/early January...............

. Not Josh he will be probably in the 15 to 25 range. I will throw this out there for now. You can expect to see Phillip Dorset very very high on my wr list
