No. I didn't say that at all.
He's a better coach for having turned a nothing program into something and being in the 11 win fraternity in the past 4 years.
Recruiting to Washington St is a lot more difficult than recruiting to Michigan.

You are simply a lost soul all around aren't you? Both politically and in sports.
That was mostly a joke.....

He had an 11 win season because of a horrible Pac12 conference last year; a year in which WSU had 0 wins over a team that finished ranked in the AP on their way to an 11 win season....and lost to the only other Pac12 team that finished in the top 25; Washington. Sorry if I'm not impressed.

Harbaugh picked up a team that had no talent, it was a team with only walk-ons, 10 straight winless seasons, 13 undefeated teams in the conference the previous season. Nobody had it tougher to start out than Harbaugh.

Check out Nebraska's win totals before and after Pelini and get back with me.

(10-4)(9-4)(10-4)(9-4) etc...

Nebraska's win totals under Pelini were good enough for lifetime contracts at the Iowa's, Missouri's, and apparently Michigan.

Want to see what talent Ferentz, Dantonio, Franklin, and a few other B1G coaches started out with?

Fake news. They had 21 negative two star players every year.

I think Riley and Fisher are too high. Whittingham is too low.
I was listening to something similar on Sirius XM yesterday. The argument was mainly centered around where Fisher, Riley and Smart belong...but mainly Fisher.

Some wanted to put Fisher in a group by himself right behind Saban and Dabo...mainly because he has a natty. Others said if that were the case then Mack and Les belong in the same group as Jimbo because those are the only other active coaches with a natty.

Only if it’s somethinf iffy. If you state something blatantly over the top like “Harbaugh has been a successful head coach at Michigan” then it is obviously sarcasm.

3. Fisher
{ gap }
4. Smart
5. Riley

Fisher has started with worst and produced an FSU team. Including taken over a FSU team who finished with 6 losses 3 out of the last 4 years before Fisher and produced six 10 win seasons, 2 Orange bowl victories and a Title. Also taken a 7-6 A&M team to 9-4 (3rd in the SEC) in his first year. Fisher is a clear #3, the Les and Mack is a weak counter argument when they haven't produce a great team in years.

Riley and Smart took over teams with 10 and 11 wins.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that Fisher produced in a weak conference while being in a state producing tons of football talent?

I didn't read your comment. But are you saying Josh Heupel > Dabo Swinney & Nick Saban?

I don't UCFeel like Googling it. I'm sure little Nick and Dabo get 10x more $$$$ to pay their assistance coaches than The Heup does. And I have always said, HCs get too much credit and blame while coordinators don't get enough.

Then add that UCFact that little Nick and Dabo probably get 20x more TV $$$$ and exposure than UCF.

Add that all up, and factor in that neither little Nick nor Dabo has ever beaten UCF.

Yeah when Riley coaches in the BIG12 and Smart recruits in Georgia with no in-state competition.

I think the Ags are going to find the Jimbo they hired is far more Mack Brown 2010 than the FSU with Winston Jimbo.

Yeah I have never been a fan of Jimbo. He wins when he has REALLY good talent. Never seems like he has to develop players

Yeah a natty isn't enough. That's why no one is complaining about Fitzgeralds or Shaws position. Dudes have such a limit with their recruits and have been relatively successful given the history of their programs.

I say it every year and probably will until he retires, I think Jimbo is one of the most overrated coaches. But he does have a natty, no denying that.
