Dantonio has a .500 record in the B10 in the last 3 seasons. Harbaugh has the 7th best record in the previous 4 years of any active coach in that span. Dantonio is ranked 14th, Harbaugh is 17th. Dumb lists are dumb. Yeah, Harbaugh hasn't beaten OSU or been to a conference title game....I know. But even worse is ranking James Franklin #11 ahead of both. A guy who is 3-12 against Mich/OSU/MSU. Was 1-4 vs. Urban, 1-4 against Dantonio and 1-3 vs. Harbaugh. Come on....

All you need to know about this list; ask fans of Stanford, PSU, MSU, Mich, UGA...if they'd trade their coach for Mike Leach

To this point, there are 5 coaches listed ahead of Herman that Herman has beaten while rebuilding Texas or while at UH. If you include his OC days at tOSU that numbers grows to 7.

Shaw, Franklin, Dantonio, Harbaugh, Smart, Leach

Every coach you mentioned has won at least 11 games in a season in the past 4 years except one.

Who would that one be?

And how does that negate my point? Only one of those guys has a mullet as well.

Kirk Ferentz - Been at Iowa for 20 years now. Has a record of 152-101. Has given Iowa arguably the best football years of their existence (with only Fry bein argued along side of him). He has produced draft picks. Given Iowa their first and only 12-0 regular season. Has two Big Ten titles. Named 2002 AP College football Coach of the Year. Named the 2002 Walter Camp Coach of the Year. 4 time Big Ten Coach of the Year. 2015 Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year. Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year. Woody Hayes Coach of the Year.

A long relatively successful tenure at Iowa. Making them into a progrma that people should at least take a glimpse at.

Congrats Iowa fans.

Kirk Ferentz - #23

Scott Frost - #22

Nebraska

On their 5th head coach since legendary Tom Osborne took over. Has been to two BSC/Big 6 Bowls undef those 5, both occurring with Frank Solich as head coach. Has had no 12-0 season since their head coach was their QB. Has yet to beat Iowa by more than 2 scores since joining the B1G. Iowa has beaten Nebrasks by >16 points 3x som Nzu joined.

It's about ranking the best power coaches.

One of said coaches is not like the others you listed.

That one coach is at a blue-blood with far more talent than the one you're being critical of who is actually in the 11 or more win fraternity.

We're talking results on the football field, not hair styles.

"There's tomatoes being thrown at me for putting Frost ahead of longtime proven winners Cutcliffe and Ferentz, but how many programs — right now — would hire either of those two over an opportunity with Frost? Putting him at No. 22 is more of a projection than anything else since Frost is 23-15 overall in four years as a head coach, but twice he has inherited bottom feeders. If Year 2 at UCF (unbeaten in 2017) is any indication, this fall will be a special turnaround at Nebraska."

UCF was not a bottom feeder.... They had one bad year before Frost showed up. They won their conference 4 of the 8 years before Frost. Conference championship game a coue of other times.Lol

Leach took 7 years to hit that mark. He's also the only coach listed with multiple seasons with less than 5 wins.

The key being Leach "Hit that mark".

He also inherited trash at Washington St.?

2011: (4-8)
2010: (2-10)
2009: (1-11)
2008: (2-11)

Here are the respective recruiting rankings

2018
Michigan: 22nd
Wash St: 45th

2017
Michigan: 5th
Wash St: 44th

2016
Michigan: 8th
Wash St: 56th

2015
Michigan: 37
Wash St: 42

Bash Leach all you want, but the fact remains he's in the 11 win fraternity in the last 4 years, and Harbaugh is not.

Harbaugh is just another Bo Pelini at this point.

So you're saying not only is Leach a worse coach, but he's also a worse recruiter? Not to mention playing in a much easier division of CFB. Next you're going to start pumping up UCF's undefeated seasons. #LeachFacts

@UCFhonors

Whoever the coach of your Knights is he isn't mentioned. What's up w/ that? This list is totally invalid.

Correct. Not including UCF totally invalidates the list.

The explanation is an Occam Razor axiom where as a simpler solution / explanation is more likely. This is the case of the ESP5N Cartel making a concerted effort over decades to segregate FBS, and to concentration all the attention to the schools that ESP5N invests the most in. It's the ole consolidate and profit model, which tries to eliminate Real Competition.

This is what UCFighting against. We are the Champions of Change which requires to destroy the ESP5N Cartel.

I didn't read your comment. But are you saying Josh Heupel > Dabo Swinney & Nick Saban?

But I like Pelini and thought Nebraska was dumb for getting rid of him; I've said that a lot over the past few years. It sent their program into turmoil....maybe Frost can get them out of it but it isn't going to be easy. Though, when 8 win NW is winning the West, maybe it actually won't be that hard.

No. I didn't say that at all.
He's a better coach for having turned a nothing program into something and being in the 11 win fraternity in the past 4 years.
Recruiting to Washington St is a lot more difficult than recruiting to Michigan.

You are simply a lost soul all around aren't you? Both politically and in sports.
