Because they make mistakes grading a players talent but that has nothing to do with importance of Centers and QBs. Big strike out there brother.

no its not your argument is gm's know best, where were they here?

GMs know best on the value of positions. That has absolutely nothing to do with grading talent which is an imperfect science. Those two examples arent even comparable. GMs can see that having a star QB makes your team win. But thats completely different than guessing who can translate college talent to pro ability.

What youre saying is GMs dont know what theyre doing and should be drafting Centers in the top 5. Thats literally what youre saying.

Yes cause its the PERFECT example of what teams value. Teams dont value Center as much as QB. Its the perfect illustration.

I do. I have LT and DE tied at 2nd most important position behind QB. So i agree with the Pats strategy

DT as in defensive tackle you didn't even include it on your list

Malcom Brown 3 tech 2015 1st
Dominique Easley 3 tech 2014 1st
Ron Brace 1 tech/Nose 2009 2nd
Kareem Brown 3/5 tech 2007 2nd
Vince Wilfork nose 2004 1st
Ty Warren 3/5 tech 2003 1st
Richard Seymour 3/5 tech 2001 1st

OK dude, youre right. Center is more valuable than QB. Every GM should follow your advice cause for 50 years theyve been doing it wrong.

Drafting a players potential has absolutely nothing to do with importance of positions. Youre not crafty enough to figure that out.

I sure have DT ahead of Center. By a loooong shot. So do the Patriots.

again they didn't value brady , argument i er

If you cant argue better than this its pointless. What does finding a diamond late have to do with Centers being valuable as a DE or LT or QB. Nothing. Are you in middle school?

I agree you build your OL and DL ASAP, but you can't pass on a QB that can become a good starter. Let's face it once your strong in the trenches your going win a fair number of games and will be drafting in the bottom half of the draft, which leaves you needing the rest of the league to over look a gem at QB. It happens obviously but not often enough to count on that stradegy.
It would depend on the way the team is shaping up before I'd concern myself with a QB, I'd be comfortable knowing I dont have to use a top 10 pick to find my franchise QB when the time comes.
I know it's easier said than down but if im not mistaken Seattle didn't spend a top pick on their franchise QB.

I think its hilarious you guys are arguing over the most minor of details.

Every position matters in the NFL but if we're talking value then almost no one is breaking the bank on a center. Center is not a valuable position. It just isnt.

Center is an important position. You have a bad center then you aren't running the ball. Full stop. No run game. Additionally, you might have some issues in the passing game if someone has a DT (or DE in a nascar situation) that is a sub 4.9 40 with leverage type of player.

Also for the love if god if you're trying to make fun of someone, don't post 8 grammatical errors from your cellphone and act like you're dissing someone.

I think if we are talking about importance and not value, RB shoots way, way up my list. Running backs touch the ball way too often and a lot of times in the most important plays of the game to be anything but #2 in importance.
