Not even remotely close. The early 1st round picks are LT and Centers RARELY get drafted even in the late 1st. Center is probably the least important position in NFL
Normally I would agree but I think having a 2nd CB is more important in todays NFL. I think I ranked the Center too high though...One comment on yours since you specified 43 DEF...shouldn't MLB be a little higher maybe with your scheme? That's a lot of ground to cover.
Mine
1. QB

The Draft has little to do with Talent of the Player when compared to Value of a Position held by Others. LT is the most important position on the OLine but when compared to the Difference of a Center, the Draft Positions are Truly Out of Whack. Then why do Centers never ever get drafted in the first round if they are soooo important while LT's DOMINATE the 1st round more than any other position? In 2013 3 of the first 4 picks where LT. I bet 3 Centers havent been drafted in the first round in the last 5 years and NONE before pick 20?

Damn, that's tough. Here we go.
1. QB
2. LT
3. DE (or pass rushing OLB, but I assume we are going with a 4-3)
4. CB
5. TE (great ones like Gronk, Witten or Grahm, in his prime, can control a game like no position other than QB)
6. MLB
7. WR
8. C
9. FS
10. K
11. OG
12. RT
13. OLB
14. RB
15. SS
16. P
17. FB
That is because you are too busy trying to argue a point rather than reading what I wrote...So you're saying teams that pay GM's millions got it all wrong? Im having difficulty understanding what you mean?

Ya, I agree LTs are more Important, but using Draft Position to judge that usually will not work out. Even if I think a Center is the 10th best player, I can trade down or realistically hope he falls to 42. Or Trade up from 42.OK, I get it now. You're saying they put TOO much of an emphasis on a particular position when other positions are valuable and have better players but GM's are too focused on certain positions like QB and LT. GOT IT!

In this aspect you are right, Centers are the Least Important position in the NFL.True. Hypothetically a LT with an 8 out of 10 ranking will go before a C with a 10 out of 10 ranking. I agree totally with what you're saying. We see it all the time with teams reaching for QB's when there are superstars at other positions waiting to be drafted. But that sort of supports what Im saying. Teams will go with a lesser prospect at LT over a star prospect at C because LT is way way WAAAY more important than Center.
How many games are won and lost off the foot of a kicker?I was with you until the Kicker being more important than a right tackle. You trying to get Aaron Rodgers killed? And a Guard will NEVER EVER be more important than a Tackle.
How many games are won and lost off the foot of a kicker?
As far as RT goes, I hear ya, but they are way more useful in the run game, which just isn't as important in the current football meta.
When it comes down to it though, football is the ultimate team game and, outside of QB, it is really hard to rank positions.
Agreed. And I did so.True but this is about how you would build a team regardless of others opinions... What you think is the most important positions.
rb's usually dont go high, are they not valuable? they must be least valuable as wellWant some more "STUPID TALK". In the last 5 drafts 2 centers went in the late first round. 24 Tackles have gone in that time.
Since 2010 5 centers have gone in the 1st round and the highest was at 15 the rest were all in the 20s but 35 Tackles have been drafted since them with more than 10 in the top 10.
Stupid talk huhh. If they were so freaking valuable, why wont anyone draft them early? 5 teams in the last 7 drafts have decided to go with a Center late in the first but probably EVERY team has drafted a T in the first over that time span.
Centers are probably the least valuable position in the NFL.
