That's something I've noticed. Seems like so many times you get a runner in scoring position and the pitcher comes up. Or if you do have someone on you just automatically sac bunt him over and give away an our. You know how much we hate when wash bunts unnecessarily. Imagine having to sit through that.

Agree. He just called that pitch a strike to Jeter when almost the identical spot was Ball 1 to Swisher.

With no Sabathia tonite, we really needed Dempster to step up. He has not faced good hitting line-ups in the NL in 3 consecutive starts such as LA, Boston and NY. Hopefully after these 3 starts he can turn it around

I think he just needs to get settled in and comfortable with pitching in the AL. Remember his catcher is an NL catcher too.
