I think he just needs to get settled in and comfortable with pitching in the AL. Remember his catcher is an NL catcher too.
Thats what I am hoping for.

.Well at least the Rangers didn't have to give up top prospects for Dumpster. Two putrid outings in 3 games
.
No question he has been a dissapointment. He never had to face these kind of good hitting teams in the NL. Hopefully there is enought time for him to get adjusted to the AL so he is ready for October
he struggled in his last few starts with the cubs too. so im not sure his struggles can be completely due to switching leagues. my opinion is that the 2012 pre all star break dempster was more of an aborration than a constant. its rare that a pitcher finally figures it out at 35. he has always been a solid pitcher. i just think the ryan dempster that we should expect is closer to the one he has been most of his career (solid) and not the 3 month stud of earlier this season.
Dempster was brought in to eat innings and pitch decently, if you expected anything more, you were delusional
Granted he's not providing the latter yet, but he'll settle in, and expect something closer to an ERA of 4.00 than 2.00, he has never been nor will he ever be an ace

I think the rangers would be happy to get 6 innings and 3 runs out of him every start for an ERA of 4.5
Right now, that even seems like a pipe dream. He pitched good against Boston saying he had faced them before and was familiar with them.
With that thinking, why not just put him in moth balls now, hope the Rangers get back to the series and then dust him off so he can pitch against the NL again.
Seriously, he just probably has to find his comfort zone and settle in but let's hope it sooner than later.
Murph on ESPN radio is speaking truth!
Though alot of posters on here would not agree with it...
Olt hasn't played since his Game Winning Huiy Saturday Night. Some Reward He got. What a Waste. If Olt"s not going to get to play, Why was He called up in the first place?
