glad to see michael is back to form, weak ground balls to short stop
the rangers need to upgrade the utility player role. snyder and gonzalez are complete spares. snyder had one great game to puff up his stats. other than that, he is pretty useless

It wasn't't just Michael. Everyone on the team was pathetic at the plate
It wasn't't just Michael:p:p. Everyone on the team was pathetic at the plate
I think it was a comment implying continuing impotent hitting from young
the entire team has been impotent over the last week or 2 so lambasting one player out of 12 makes no sense.
in yesterday's game, kinsler, andrus, hamilton, beltre, young & cruz were a combined 2 for 18 a pathetic .111 batting average.
as a TEAM, the offense has been pathetic, so why single out 1 player?
The more disgusting thing to me is Harry pitched his guts out and got the fucking loss. He deserved better than that.
The offense has been more inconsistent than pathetic and if all you can do to justify MY (.265 3 hrs) hitting 5th in the line up is paint the rest of the team in the same light then you are lost.
Either justify MY's numbers as a 5th place hitter or stay out of the discusssion and stick to cutting and pasting MLB rumors. Talking about last year, clubhouse worth, a posters personal feelings, etc. adds nothing to your argument.
Why were Young and Beltre flip-flopped this year? The offense worked well with Young at #4 last year. I thought it was one of Washington's better strategies last year.
Beltre has always been the cleanup hitter since coming here. Young was only #4 when Beltre went down with the hamstring injury.
all you can do is hijack every thread with your Young hatred. this thread is about the Rangers vs. Sox series which if i'm not mistaken was played by the entire 25-man roster and not by one player.
instead of talking about the total lack of offensive support that Harrison got yesterday, you choose to continue with your one-player rant. who do you put in at #5 in place of Young? Cruz, who's hitting .238 over the last week. Napoli, who's hitting .118 over the last week. Torrealba at .214. Murphy at .250. suppose we follow your biased thinking and bench Young that means Napoli at 1st, Torrealba behind the plate and then who do you DH?
Sorry Scotty, but I'm not going to try and hang my hat on one game. I never said anything about benching Young. Just that he shouldn't be hitting in the #5 spot which has nothing to do with the last week. His 3 hrs and .265 average are for the year. I could live with the average if he had a little more pop in his bat, which he doesn't. You need a little more muscle than Young provides in the 5 spot and I will post that opinion wherever the hell I want to and if you have a problem with that then make a case for Young's ability or drop him to the 7 or 8 spot, where he belongs.
