Naps just can't keep it going this year. Bet he gets nowhere near his initial asking price on his contract. I think they'll resign him but to a much cheaper deal, and maybe go sign Ruiz as their #1 catcher.

I dont see a 2nd half coming up for Naps like last year. At this point it would be nice if he could just get some risp home

Great game from Scooter.

Winning is so much better than losing.

Kind of an ugly offensive win. What an outstanding performance from Feldman. I just hope the pitching can continue to hold up while our offense grinds through this.

all right lets stomp those damn angels and end this shit being up by 8/9 would be fucking sweet

With the team like 0-for its last 30 with RISP, perhaps the luck will swing our way just in time for the Angels.

This scares me, because the collective offensive slump the team has been in is unlike any that the team has gone through in recent years. Our rotation will not be able to hold off LAA if the bats don't come around fairly soon.

Yep long season. The team may have been looking ahead a little to the Angels. I expect offense to come out of it and take 3 out of 4.

Thank You Very Much Scott Feldman. Showed his 2009 Form Tonight. Rangers wasted Scoring Opportunities All Night. By No Means out of the Team Wide Hitting Slump. But it's Great to get a Great Pitching Performance when you really need it. A Win a Win. Picked up a Game on both the Athletics and Angels. Big Series starts Tomorrow Night.

I didn't get to see any of tonight's game. Couldn't even scoreboard watch. So I checked the score on line when I got home ... and WoW!

Feldman looks like he had a superb night. Not sure it was talked about during the post game ... but it was arguably (looking at the numbers) the best 8.0 outing of the staff ... only behind Harrison's 2 and Colby's 1 CG shutouts.

Feldman ... 8.0 ... 88 pitches ... 63 for strikes (72%) ... and 14% swinging strikes.

Feldman's 8.0 was accomplished in 10 fewer pitches than Harrison's 98 pitches against SEA on 28 May.

Only Colby's 8.0 on 6 Jun loss to OAK with 77% strikes was a higher percentage than Feldman's 72%.

Bet Wash not letting Scooter finish was subject of some conversation given Feldman's low pitch count.

Didn't see the game ... as I said so would defer to those who watched it or made the call. Looking at the video highlights though it looked like Joe benefited from defensive plays of the game from Andrus and Murphy before K'ing Ramirez.

You're definitely right about that. Was a hell of a catch by Cruz but the ball wasn't hit well. It was a Texas league blooper. The only hard hit ball was the up against the wall catch Murphy made.
