out of curiousity, did anybody have a problem with MY leaving during the middle of a tie game last night to go to the hospital? i must say, and perhaps im wrong, but a team leader needs to finish the game. especially if it's your third child....

i get that, but thats kind of the sacrifice you make when you are a big leaguer. not saying it's right. but i bet 90% of mlb players finish that game out. assuming there arent any complications during delivery

I think that him leaving early was the best move for the team. Gave us the opportunity to put a better bat in there for the rest of the game. There are different ways to be a leader.

lol, i do agree that it might have been a blessing for him to leave early with mitch getting a big hit. although, im not sure he had the idea of letting moreland take his place was his idea of him being a good leader

Teams have definitely caught on to the rangers taking the extra base. Two years ago that throw would've gone to the cut off man. Now he just threw it to second.

Also, Mitch is still awesome!

nice work by murph going with that pitch. mitch looks like he's dialed in. if the bottom of this lineup clicks then this team is going to be a very hard team to beat come october and makes up for the fact that they dont have a true "ace"

what does everyone think about the rangers calling up hernandez over profar? i dont have much of a problem with it. profar needs at bats, thats something he wouldnt get here very often. mike olt being the perfect example. he needs to be getting at bats to help his development

I don't think they should call him up. He needs to play not sit, and I don't want to overwhelm him. I also think Olt can be a great bench bat in October, but I think he should start next season in AAA and be ready for a call up if needed.

My answer is no. He needs a minimum year longer in minor league ball, and maybe two. No sense in starting his click before you get an idea what you're going to be able to do with Elvis.
