I mean right behind rather than on the other side of black hole in the batting order.
Just noticed that Kinsler and Young have the same BA (.266) ... 4 points better than Cruz. And Moreland is 1 point behind Hamilton. Hmmph. Strange looking batting order if are just looking at it without knowing all the leadership things going on.
Your dislike for Soto has clouded your judgment a bit. That was actually a really good hard-fought at-bat. The ump hosed him twice, first on the 3-1 pitch when the replay appeared to show he checked his swing, then on the final 3-2 pitch which had been called a ball for most of the game and the pitch tracker showed barely touched the outside of the black. I'd rather see an at-bat and subsequent out like that any day than watching Josh and his careless swing at the first pitch no matter what approach. Soto just doesn't have Josh's freakish athletic ability, but he along with most of the rest of the team do have better approaches and discipline at the plate. He's an 8-hole hitter who won't ever be better than a .250-.260 hitter. He's light years better than that spare Torrealba.
Profar starting at 2nd base today? MY DHing and hitting 2nd in the line up.
