I hope so...I know it's early in the season, but so far, I'm not very impressed.

You're missing my point, nothing he did was elite, 30 HRs, 30 SBs, .270-.290 average, not elite, roll them all into one player and you're talking about an elite player, that doesn't do much at an elite level

He was a sum of the parts player, b/c he did everything pretty good but not great

Didn't say he was elite just very very good on offense

He is but he's probably going to be a average starter at best

IDK about that... if he stays healthy and keeps progressing, his stuff is just too good to think otherwise. He's struggling now, but I can definitely see him being a shelby miller type of pitcher. He's gotta get out of one-two inning bullpen mode and into starter mode

Agreed, its going to take him time to learn to pitch instead of throw, more than a single ST

He has to learn to keep his stuff for longer than an inning

My scout friend compares Scheppers to Mat Latos alot. He said that with natural progression and transition into a starter, in a year or so they could be very similar pitchers

He misses his spots a lot, but I think the movement bails him out sometimes. He needs better control and needs a better change-up. His secondary pitches aren't very exciting.
