So I know it wont happen....but IMO, until everyone gets going... move Rios to the 3 hole.

With Choo & Elvis getting on the way they have been... and the way Rios's bat has started out - we could get another run or two per game. IMO

Moves Prince to 4.
Beltre 5.
Choice/Moreland 6.
Martin 7.
2B 8.
The black hole we call our catching tandem 9.

Yes, I realize that is 2 "easy" outs in a row (8 & 9)...but until everyone is clicking / gets healthy...its all they can do.

I've advocated this from the beginning,

Might also consider Martin between 2B & C so you don't have 2 automatic outs in a row, just a thought and it keeps the L/R thing going

While the results weren't great, Scheppers seemed to have much better command of his pitches, and thats saying something about his first start b/c he didn't have great command last night, but at least its progress

I would be happy with anything to try and get something going, rather than copy and paste the lineup daily and just substitute a player here or there. The guys that are hitting need to be rewarded for doing so

Great.

In other news, at least Harrison did fairly well today.

So no left handed hitting Moreland or Martin. At least the lineup was changed some. Not much extra that can be done with what we have now other than moving Rios to 3rd spot as was mentioned.

Nice to see Choice getting another start but that's pretty dismal looking bottom of the lineup. Now after saying that we will probably score our highest point total on the season.

The 1 walk was a vast improvement, agree on progress. Next start hopefully fewer hits, but overall he did remarkably better job. Very little offense is going to be hard for these young guys to overcome. Even when Fielder and Beltre get it going, the replacements at the catching position and lack of much offense in the bottom 3rd is gonna make it tough

I probably am wrong but I think when it is all said and done, by the end of the season, we will have a top 5 offense. Right now we are getting hits they just are not stringing them together, so its a matter of time I would say. Also, Choo and Elvis have been doing their job... so as soon as Prince comes around and Beltre gets hot like we all expect- it might not matter what the bottom of the lineup does. I will say that we really can't expect much better production out of 2B from Profar than what we currently have gotten from the Wilson/Murphy Combo. He should hit for a better slugging percentage though. Not sure if we will ever get much out of C. Cheerios looked good in ST but it appears he left his bat there. I still like him behind the late more than JPA though.

Lefty on the mound tomorrow. Mitch actually contributed tonight so we will see what Wash does. I would give Choice the start and hope he sparks us. I like RH hitters more in that park anyways.

Wash must've read my post.:laugh3:
I wish KK was our option behind Beltre though, and not Wilson.

Agreed about Kouzmanoff, having both Wilson and Murphy seems a bit redundant as both are RHed hitter, not even a platoon situation

Sort of takes away from being able o PH for either of them too. Hopefully Beltre is OK, I heard there was a bit of a scare when he was running to first last night or something.

It seems this is something that we will continue to have to mess with for the remainder of his Ranger days. One thing about him though is he will try and play thru pain.
