OK, here we go with Nathan. He scares me so much, it's not even funny.

He should be plenty fresh for tomorrow too. He doesn't make me nervous. I feel better with him than I did with Feliz all last year. Joe will be solid.

Yu had the offspeed changeup working to perfection. Shutting down the Yankees makes it even more satisfying. Wast a performance

Given his history, I'm sure he will be fine. I'm just not sure he's there yet.

1 bad inning against Seattle and a mistake pitch to Rios are the only things to base that on, otherwise this guy has been solid this year

Can't wait to see his next start. I'm looking forward to all the starts this week actually. Harrison gets another opportunity to do what he's been doing and Feliz gets to go again. I know it's early, but I've got a great feeling about this year.

I'm not sure I agree with your evaluation. Let's hope that your take on him is more accurate than mine.

You took the words out of my mouth. By seasons end the pitching will be better than last years. I liked CJ but he came up short in the postseason and he just does not have the stuff that Yu has.. For me its about getting back to the world series and winning it. We need gems like this when our bats are cooling off. I did not realize Yu could crank it up to 97 mph

What numbers are more relevant than the fact that he has blown 22% of his save chances. That's hardly a quality closers track record.

Even putting his blown saves aside, my expectation of a closer is for them to come in and shut the other team down. Nathan has closed in 9 games and allowed hits in all but 4 of those games, and multiple hits in two of them. That isn't my definition of shutting anyone down.

He has also given up 5 runs in those 9 innings. That doesn't seem very clutch either.

I'm not really sure what #'s you are looking at when you say that he has been nails.

:L did you really just throw a save % at me 18 games into the season. Rivera's numbers don't look great right now either. Take the two losses he fully deserves out of your incredibly small sample size and you'll see what I'm saying. Since getting tagged in that ugly outing against Seattle he hasn't allowed a run in five outings and is 3/3 in save opportunities.

I didn't say he's been nails this year (18 games). I said he's been very solid lately and he'll be fine as closer.

where do you get 22% from? he's blown 1 save out of 6 chances, that was his one bad outing, other than that game he's looked really good, even the homerun he gave up was on a really good pitch that was outdone by even better hitting

You're the one that said you couldn't argue with his numbers. I guess the numbers don't matter if they don't support your opinion.
