Gotta have patience with Yu, it might take him a while. One thing we do know is he knows how to pitch and he can hang in there and battle. I think he still just needs to tweak his mechanics a little bit and get used to the different ball and mound. He needs to to build up some confidence to throw those big nasty breaking balls.

JD has shown too good of a track record to be as far off on Darvish as it currently looks like he could have been. Due to that, I am going to give Darvish a long time and a lot of leash before I even strart thinking that he is a bust. I might even give him all year.

Since his first career inning he's given up 2 runs in 10.1 innings. That should put things in perspective. He's been pretty damn good, just not dominant and allowing too many baserunners. Rangers fans are being too hard on him.

There is just very little life on his pitches which is what he was was tauted to have so much of. Maybe he does need some time to remember how to pitch. I am willing to give him a long leash but then I never bought into the hype anyway, thought probably overpaid but figured not my money so who cares. lol

Agree.

I think the expectations for imediate dominance were far too high from most Rangers fans, myself included.

He will be fine but he will always be compared to the massive money invested. He will probably never live up to that, not very fair to him.
