Maybe I am just holding him to an unfair level of expectations, but it just seems like Darvish is a little wild and not able to hit spot consistantly again today. He has been kind of lucky to have only given up 1 run so far.

He'd still be pitching a shutout if MY had fielded that ball cleanly. My main concern is in both his last start and today he's just giving up a LOT of hits(although they're all singles). His WHIP can't look very good. He seems to be really hittable if batters are patient enough. He needs to turn up the velocity on his fastball and throw that slow curve more. Right now he's throwing mostly all hard stuff at them and can't put them away.

And as I'm typing this, he just made a great play at home plate to end the inning and prevent a run from scoring.

Great trick play!!! Throw a pitch just wild enough to only get far enough away from the catcher to fool the runner into heading home! HAHA...sucker! LOL Those tricky Japanese!

Yu Darvish is definitely not unhittable. But does not seem to give up the big hits too much. Big play at the plate gets him out of trouble.

He's looked hittable so far but I think we'll see him develop into that unhittable pitcher we expected by the end of the season.

It has been frustrating, but I know what he's capable of when he starts clicking. He had a couple rough ST outings, but put it all together in his last start against Colorado.

Well not sure we know what he is capable of against full rosters of MLB hitters. We know what he is capable of against rosters of Japanese league hitters and some spring training rosters. But I do know what you are saying based upon the 100 million spent and what the talking heads have said he should be capable of dominating the big leagues but I am going to let him get there on his own time. Gotta be a huge adjustment.

Based on all to press prior to him comig here, I expected a lot more movement on his pitches. Right now he just seems really hitable. Let's hope that changes as the season goes along.

Nice job getting out of that jam. It really is a miracle that they only have 1 run on the board.

Oh ok sounds good will try it out. My popup blocker screwed that up I guess.

When you first load the stream there will be some popups that come over the video, if you wait about 30 seconds and close them then full screen the stream it works great. I use it all the time since I don't have cable and mlb.tv won't let me watch local games.
