the majority of the people on the Rangers subreddit seem to support this if for no other reason than the Astros lulz.

I agree 100%. I'm not a Gomez fan at all, nor do I think he's gonna give us much other than the occasional spot start in the OF (hope I'm wrong there). But just the fact that this might... might... give us some kind of help or incremental lift and knowing what an absolute kick to the balls that would be to Crybaby Jeff Luhnow and the Astros organization (particularly knowing how he feels about players choosing us over them) makes it totally worth the gamble.

I can just see us mathematically eliminating the Astros from the playoffs on a Carlos Gomez pinch hit walk-off HR and Jeff Luhnow breaking every last piece of furniture in his suite.

Looked at their lineup before the game and thought besides Longoria this may not even be a ML team. Then we again cant score on a SP and only score 2 runs the entire game, on 2 solo HR's. Offense still not clicking and the BP needs to get considerably more consistent. Kela was poor tonight again
