I don't think he should. I wouldn't put it past Banister to cowtail to Choo and Fielders veteran status and move him though.

I wouldn't put it past Banny either as stubborn as he has been with putting Prince 4th in the lineup.

I get the thinking about Stubbs being brought in could correspond with DeShields being sent down. What I don't get is if that is the case then why not make both moves together. Why the delay with DeShields if that is indeed what they are going to do?

DeShields is going back down to get some mojo back. Also needs to find some baseball smarts. May go down one another reliever is brought up IMO

I do not think Maz moves. Why would you do that? Has nothing to do with the Fielder situation which is dumb.

I think thy may slot Choo at 3 and move the rest down. They really need to move Desmond after Beltre

They're not going to go L,L,L at the top of the lineup.

You are absolutely correct. Maybe Choo slots further down. We need to slot Desmond correctly

I would like for us to be willing to pay a decent part of Fielder's salary just to get him out of here. He is taking up space that a young, future player on this team could be playing.

I already gave my preferred lineup.

I'm not convinced of that. DDJ has already shown he can be a legit lead off hitter at the big league level. If we send him down due to our crowded outfield and he does damage at RR, he will have plenty of value.

Brinson could gain 20 lbs and next year I'd say, "this kid could gain 20 lbs and still would be slender."
